Great value for money, the portion was quite big for the price. We went during lunch and it was quite crowded, the tables was full but we didn’t wait for long. We found the food to be quite sweet and too salty for our taste. However, the French toast wasn’t sweet at all. The deep fried garlic pork ribs was good, garlicky but too oily. The seafood fried rice was a bit wet and could have done longer on the stove. The Mongolian beef was quite sweet to our surprise. The stir fry rice noodle has a nice smokey taste and chewy texture. The chicken Maryland was crispy and juicy paired with the black pepper sauce.

The staff clearly have no manners or basic respect for customers. From the moment we walked in, we were ignored. Even after being seated, we had to call several times before anyone came to take our order. When someone finally did, they had a sarcastic attitude, as if we were bothering them. Easily one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else.

This place is the classic Hong Kong Cha Chaan Teng. The food is a good portion, classic HK taste and super cheap considering it's in Chatswood. To top it off, almost everyone that works there has the classic grumpy Hongkie personality, giving you that authentic HK experience. Even when the waiters can only speak mandarin, they have the HK rude style nailed down perfectly. If the waiters are too nice I would question its authenticity as a HK restaurant! 😂

Used to come here very often for lunch but hadn’t been for a few years. Decided to take my aunt from interstate here and she had never experienced such poor service. It was so embarrassing. As soon as we entered, we were seated at a share table one table away from the door. There was space against the wall where I was able to fit my travel pram without being in the way, but the waiter yelled out “no prams!”. I told him I needed to put my 3-month old baby in there and I asked if it was in the way but he said “no it’s not, the boss just doesn’t allow it”. He said she could sit in a high chair but at 3 months old, they’re unable to sit independently. He said the boss said I’d have to just carry my baby whilst eating. We placed our order with a waitress, and she said we didn’t meet the minimum of $40. We couldn’t figure out how they calculated the minimum as we had three adults and ordered three full meals. Regardless, we ordered more to meet the minimum. Not sure if it was a $10 minimum per person as we had our 2-year old toddler with us. She didn’t explain why. When they brought utensils out, she only brought out two pairs of chopsticks for 3 adults which was very odd because she was able to calculate a min. requirement for 3 people but couldn’t count three utensils. We were so keen to just leave at that point, so didn’t even enjoy the food - it was flavourless. Would not step foot in there again.
