Hmm we came cos my hubs heard of the dimsum but the dimsum menu was surprisingly small, so we ended up ordering regular dishes. Special fried rice, 2/5 - the photo in the menu shows a pretty dark fried rice so we were expecting one with stronger taste, but tbh, the fried rice was so bland, we thought they might have forgotten some seasoning like salt pepper and sauce? Fried eggplant, 4/5 - much tastier, which made up for the fried rice or possibly overcompensate haha. It was actually quite salty or laden with msg… you can check out the photo where the eggplant is really well sprinkled with msg 😆 Service is decent though, and there was lots of seats available when we came. However, we probably won’t return anytime soon. $47.60 for these two, including tea. Keropok (fried prawn crackers), and oranges were not charged!
Food is excellent! Always fresh and tasty. Friendly staff. We have been coming here for years and love the service and food here
We really enjoyed yumcha at Hung Cheung. The staff were friendly and there was a nice local vibe. The staff served us promptly with steaming hot dim sum and tea. We’d definitely come back again!
Came at 10:30 and no line, but when we were leaving around 11:15 there was a queue outside! My usual yum cha go-to is about 45 min drive away so I decided to give Hung Cheung a go. We enjoyed the variety and the frequency of the carts! Favourites here are the fried scallop dumplings and the flat rice cake with prawns.
Our local for yum Cha and it doesn't disappoint! They have all the popular dishes, and with a menu too ( so u can request items if required). Decor and restaurant itself is run down and very basic but the food is good abs not hectic like other yum Cha places. It's a hidden gem for the locals who know it!
