If you want a perfect night out with modern Chinese food, this is the place to be. My friend and I had the best time. We were starving after long day work and the staff recommended some popular dishes for us. My favourite is the 3+ hours slow cook ox tongue!! The green sauce is magical and the meat just melt in your mouth!! Okra is not my thing but with the right dip is sooo delicious!! I try to replicate the sauce at home but couldn’t lol They also have kids friendly dishes so the little ones will be satisfied too! Recommend for everyone !!
Absolutely loved this place! The noodles were incredibly fresh with a perfect chewy texture, and the broth was rich, aromatic, and full of depth. Every ingredient tasted high quality, and the portions were generous for the price. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and made the whole dining experience even better. The restaurant was clean, well-maintained, and had a comfortable atmosphere that made it easy to relax and enjoy the meal. If you’re looking for authentic Chinese noodles with amazing flavour and excellent service, this is definitely a spot worth visiting. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes!
A true hidden gem in Chatswood – very low profile, but the flavours are the real deal. This is authentic Beijing-style cuisine, with a legacy dating back to 1888. You can taste the history and tradition in every bite. Sorry, not many photos of the food – I couldn't wait to dig in! That's how good it is. Highly recommended for anyone craving genuine Beijing flavours.
"A fantastic meal from start to finish!" I started with their Signature Braised Beef — incredibly tender, rich, and full of flavor. The noodles on the side were the perfect companion, soaking up all that amazing sauce. Already a winner. I’d also pre-ordered their fish dish, and it did not disappoint — fresh, perfectly cooked, and thoughtfully prepared. Respect to the kitchen for being so accommodating and skilled. Great service, cozy vibe, and food that clearly has love and care behind it. Can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend booking ahead and asking about custom requests — they listen and deliver. Would give 6 stars if I could.
Had a great dining experience at Chai’s. The food was flavourful and well prepared, especially the beef, which was crispy on the outside and tender inside. The braised tender beef slices were also rich and comforting, and the side dishes were refreshing and balanced the meal nicely. The sesame flaky-bread was warm, crispy, and fragrant, and went really well with the savoury dishes. Good place to come.
