Great food , 2 skewer sets and a flatbread keeps you full will be coming back soon
Absolutely delicious! The BBQ is charcoaled, and not fried! The texture and the charcoal taste and cumin marinade is good! Would recommend.
Since I love Cumin Lamb, I had my eyes on this place for some time. I finally made a trip from Central to Chatswood to eat here last week. I was supersede to see this place inside the mall, as the photos from Google make it look like a stand alone shop, needless to say it’s a unique setting. I got there just as they opened, so I was the first to order. The lamb is grilled fresh, so it take some time. I wanted the Flat bread also, but he said they were out of flat bread. So I asked about Chips, and he also said that was out. Hummm, Okay…. The lamb was large portion and tasty. I didn’t think it had a whole lot of Cumin flavor as I’m used to from other places, but I enjoyed them.
The lamb skewers were the star of the show, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The cumin added a nice depth of flavor to the dish and really elevated it to the next level. Overall, I would highly recommend the Lamb and Cumin skewer joint in Chatswood to anyone looking for a tasty and authentic dining experience. It’s a great spot for a quick lunch or a casual dinner, and I can’t wait to go back and try more of their delicious skewers. In addition to the delicious food, I also want to give a shout-out to the staff for their dedication to safety. The kitchen can get quite smoky at times, and I appreciate that the staff take the necessary precautions to ensure their safety and well-being. It’s great to see a restaurant that values their employees and takes care of them, and it just adds to the overall positive experience of dining there. Keep up the great work!
Tucked away in the bustling Westfield Chatswood food court lies a culinary treasure: Asian Street. This unassuming spot might just be the definition of a hidden gem, especially for those with a penchant for authentic flavors. While the customer service can be described as minimalistic, with a strict adherence to their menu that doesn't allow for substitutions or modifications (a peculiar stance that extends to their skewers, which, bewilderingly, come without any sides or bread, necessitating separate orders for something as basic as flatbreads), the culinary experience more than compensates for these quirks. The highlight of Asian Street, without a doubt, is their lamb skewers. The decision to stick to real charcoal cooking, despite the constraints of a food court setup, pays off remarkably. This method imbues the meat with a rich, smoky flavor that's hard to find in Australia, particularly in the realm of quick service eateries. It's a testament to the authenticity and quality that Asian Street brings to the table, literally. The lamb skewers are exceptionally tasty and offer a culinary journey that belies the simplicity of their presentation. Despite the service limitations and the somewhat incomplete nature of the meal without the necessary add-ons, I would highly recommend Asian Street to anyone with a love for lamb and a craving for authentic, charcoal-grilled flavors. It's a rare find in the fast-paced food court environment, proving that quality and taste can indeed come from the most unexpected places.
