“Taste Of Shanghai delivered an absolutely outstanding lunch experience. Every dish we ordered was cooked to perfection and packed with incredible flavour. The fried tofu was beautifully crisp on the outside and soft inside, the eggplant was rich and delicious, and the fried rice had the perfect balance of seasoning and texture. The fried pork and fried beef were both tender, juicy, and full of flavour, while the fried king prawns were fresh, perfectly cooked, and absolutely mouth-watering. You can really tell the chefs pay attention to quality and consistency in every dish. The food came out hot, fresh, and beautifully prepared. One of the best Chinese lunches we’ve had in a long time. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic, flavourful dishes and a fantastic dining experience.”
Lilong Taste of Shanghai Castle Hill Review on 15/6/2026 The food is incredibly hot — temperature-wise. The Xiao Long Bao and Pan-fried Bai are thebhighlight, but the noodle, vegetable, and the radish cake are nothing to rave about. The Xiao Long Bao does contain gingery broth within the dough wrap, and when bitten the juice squad out. It is advisable to be careful not to squad the hot broth over one's hand or face.
The food here is always tasty and comes out quickly, and the service is friendly. The pan-fried pork buns and soup dumplings are a must. The pork ribs and mapo tofu are also great. We love all the food here.

Wow! My mate and I were the only non Chinese in ToS today - my first visit - and the food was fresh, exciting, tasty and authentic Shanghainese cuisine. Great wine list too. Service was fast and attentive. I'll be back again very soon.
