The portion is pretty big. The price is worth to pay. The taste is incredible nice 🥰 would return to have it again. The open kitchen looks clean. Chef and service staff dressed well and hygienic.
Food were delivered a bit slow even we came in opening hour but the taste was incredible. We love it! The century eggs was the best one for me, I would have this again next time💕👌 The signature fried chicken with chilli was a bit dipappointed because there was a small portion of chicken and lot of chilli, I was dead in a toilet next day😓🥲 This is warning, don’t eat too mich chilli of this plate lol😂 And we do love the sweets (Fried bun and the sticks) !! So yum!!
Dishes were good and would definitely like to revisit to try some of the others. The rice cake with brown sugar (not photoed) was not good though so would avoid. The brown sugar sauce tasted like detergent.
What I order vs What I got. I ordered the Black Gold Lava Custard Buns because they looked unique on the menu. The photos clearly showed black buns, which was the main reason I wanted to try them. However, what I received was completely different. Instead of black buns, I was served six small ordinary white custard buns that looked like frozen buns you could buy from a regular grocery or convenience store, simply reheated and served. They cost $15.60, which felt very overpriced for what I received. When I asked the staff why they were white instead of black, I was told, "They're the same. Some days they're white, and some days they're black." I found this explanation disappointing. If the appearance changes, the menu should clearly mention it, or the photos should accurately represent what customers will actually receive. Otherwise, it feels misleading. I hope the restaurant updates its menu or serves the product as advertised, so future customers know exactly what they're paying for.
A very good friend invited us to Mr. Lam for dinner tonight. We ordered a variety of dishes including seafood, vegetarian and meat dishes. The lobster with ginger and shallots, and crab with vermicelli dishes are super fresh and yummy. Their shells are thin and the meat is very juicy. We ordered three vegetarian dishes and I especially like the tofu dish. It was supposed to be “Seafood Tofu Stew” but we requested them to remove the seafood as one of our friends is vegetarian. Even the seafood was removed, the tofu stew is still very delicious. Jenny, the manager there highly recommended Roast Lamb Chops with potato to us. The dish was actually served on a hot plate. So it was still hot when I have the last piece of lamb chop and of course the dish is very yummy. Mr. Lam is a Sichuan Restaurant. Unfortunately I cannot eat spicy food, otherwise I would be able to enjoy their dishes even more. Last but not least, the special homemade dessert “Black Sesame Tang Yuan (Glutinous Rice Balls)” was scrumptious. Jenny recommended this dish to us again. The restaurant staff especially Jenny has a fantastic service attitude - always patient, polite and helpful. I am impressed by how friendly and attentive the staff were throughout my visit. The restaurant is clean and tidy, making for a very pleasant dining experience. I will definitely go there again.
