We usually get Stone Bowl as takeaway and never dine in, but this time we decided to give dining in a try as the queue wasn’t too long. So glad we did! The food was, as always, amazing and did not disappoint. One thing I noticed is that when dining in, you get the extra garnishes that you don’t usually get with takeaway, which is a nice touch. Prices are relatively reasonable, and I also love that they regularly update their menu with new dishes, keeping things exciting and giving us a reason to keep coming back. Definitely worth trying!
Came for dinner, no booking and no wait time. Service was great, fast and very attentive. However most foods were not amazing and was sat beside a blasting ac so made our dishes get cold faster. Def recommend ordering the rice mochi with brown sugar most worth taste and price! Would recommend as a group of 3 to just order one main and two or three side dishes instead of two mains and three sides. Would not recommend ordering the bbq pork - although tasty so small not worth the price. Overall would come again to try something else.
Big portions and good food at this price point. They do introduce new menu! For that we love this place. Con: too busy and sometimes you might need to wait for a it to get service
The restaurant was quite big and busy but we didn’t have to wait long. Our favorite was the chicken wings, super flavorful and crispy, the squid ink rice was savory and creamy and noodles had a nice smokiness. However, the beans was quite stringy and the pan fried pork bun was quite oily. The passion fruit was interesting to try and the rice cake had a nice chewiness. Lastly, the portion was massive for the price.
After years of living in Eastwood, I finally had the chance to farewell a friend at Mr. Stonepot. It’s easy to see why the restaurant is always busy—the dishes are very tasty and reasonably priced. However, the service experience was disappointing. Staff seemed overwhelmed and often ignored guests waving or calling for attention. It usually took catching the manager or waiting until someone served a nearby table to get assistance. The atmosphere inside is crowded and noisy, with tables packed tightly into the long, narrow layout. There’s often a long queue outside, adding to the sense of pressure. The bathroom was tiny and not well maintained, which discouraged guests from staying inside for long. I also noticed that the waiting staff and even the cashier rarely smiled, which made the dining experience feel transactional rather than welcoming. Overall, while the food and price are commendable, the lack of hospitality and comfort means I cannot truly enjoy dining here.
