The restaurant was extremely busy during Saturday dinner, and we waited almost 40 minutes for a table for two. We wouldn't have minded the wait if the food had genuinely been good, but unfortunately, the overall experience was quite average. We ordered the crab xiao long bao, but there was barely any crab roe, just one small piece in the centre with a light sprinkle on top. We also ordered the XO shrimp claypot, which was very disappointing. The shrimp tasted like frozen shrimp and were far too chewy. We also ordered one cold soy milk and one tea, but we had to follow up twice before the soy milk arrived. Overall, the food and service did not meet our expectations, especially considering how busy and popular the restaurant seemed to be.

This place has a full bar, huge menu, great service and wonderful food. We went with a beef noodle, cashew chicken, roast duck, sweet and sour chicken, and Mongolian beef. All of the dishes were excellent but the Mongolian beef took the prize, being served on a sizzling plate and being absolutely scrumptious to boot. We also went with an order of dumplings that was also noteworthy. Highly recommend this place!

I was excited about to go this restaurant & saw good reviews but was disappointed by the lukewarm service & food. I had the spicy smoked tofu & ham I thought it would be a little spicier or more smoky but it wasn’t. The Hong Shau Rou was alright but wasn’t hot enough & the bok choy was a little undercooked for my taste. The congee was fishy & had a string of steel wool in it so… The lamb leek dumplings were pretty good it’s hard to mess up dumplings. This is a little nit-picky but I thought the water tasted bad. For my taste I feel they could have seasoned the dishes more. The service was okay I feel like they just wanted to serve the food without giving proper service with urgency replacing attentiveness when it came to serving customers. The staff seemed more focused on chatting rather than serving customers. I wanted to be harsher but didn’t want to be too mean. Atmosphere was okay.

Came here alone, ordered two kinds of dumplings and a Tsingtao, and honestly, heaven exists 🥟🍺 The Hong You Chao Shou was absolutely delicious and the staff were so lovely. I enjoyed the xiao long bao too, but the spicy wontons totally stole the show. Would definitely come back!
