As much as I wanted to appreciate the environment of the restaurant, I couldn’t be satisfied with the wait time. I ordered and paid 40 minutes in advanced, however two tables after me was served and I continued to wait. I wanted to test and see how long the table in front of me takes and it was a wait time of 15. I tried to inquire but I don’t speak Mandarin. Will be easier if you speak mandarin when coming to this restaurant 😓 Other than that food was good :) portion size is sensible for the price, don’t expect the bamboo steamer to be full of rice, it’s about 1/3 the depth
One of our favourite spots to grab food in Burwood when we feel like something healthy and hearty! The only thing is they do get popular so some soups do sell out early but all their dishes are lovely. You also get a little side dish for free and portions are generous.
Light and homey - already visiting weekly. This restaurant specialises in Chinese soups. The entire menu is either boiled or steamed making it light and easy to eat, but full of flavour! Only wished the space was bigger so you don’t have to wait as long. Cool hack - they allow you to mix up to 2 choices on all steamed rice options at the same price!
Authentic Cantonese soup and steamed dishes, which brings back my childhood memories. Always good to have a place like this when I want to have home cooked food. Simple and delicious, all time favorite
The soup was absolutely delicious and full of flavor! I loved the subtle aroma of lotus leaf in both the rice and the osmanthus cake—it really worked up my appetite. Even the side dishes were excellent. Highly recommended!
