Today I was wandering around Auburn and came across this bun shop that sells lots of Chinese food. I wanted some siu mai, but since I was in a hurry, they said I could take them home and steam them myself. I also bought sesame balls and pumpkin congee (they also had things like white fungus soup and millet porridge). The aunties there were really kind — they seemed like the sort of people who genuinely care and run the place with sincerity. I asked what else could be taken home and prepared later, and they told me basically everything could.
If you're in the mood for some affordable Chinese food, this spot is a great option. You can order a generous portion of rice along with up to three dishes, allowing you to mix and match your favorites for a satisfying meal. I also tried their pork buns for takeaway, and they were quite nice—soft and flavorful, perfect for a quick snack or a light meal. Overall, this place offers a solid selection of dishes at a budget-friendly price, making it a convenient choice when you're craving Chinese cuisine without spending too much.
Bro said worst takeaway I ever had worse than little fujian takeaway, worse than you cook at home. Should pay attention how to cook properly.
I bought some takeaway buns and a soy milk from this shop today. The buns were fine, but the soy milk was burnt and completely undrinkable. I ended up throwing it away. I hope the owner can pay more attention to quality control — burnt soy milk shouldn’t be sold to anyone, even for takeaway. It’s not healthy or safe to drink. I’m sharing this so the shop can improve and so other customers won’t have the same experience. I appreciate the owner’s response and professionalism in acknowledging the issue. It’s good to see customer feedback taken seriously, and I hope the shop continues to improve.
Overall the food is just average. The price is also cheap!
