Great place for authentic and quality Chinese food in Burwood. Place was spacious and staff were very friendly. Service was fast. Ordered their prawns and scallop dumplings and fish fillet in Sichuan Chilli. The prawns and scallop was very tender and there was a lot of filling. Fish was tender and the Sichuan oil was very aromatic and addicting. You need to order a side of rice to soak up the Sichuan oil.
This is a decent place, especially if you like Shanghainese-style or modern Chinese cuisine. The restaurant offers a really large menu of popular Shanghai style dishes. The place is modernly decorated & located next to Westfield shopping centre. You can see a large open kitchen & chefs working in the far part of the restaurant, which had a continuous glassed in section. It is child friendly with plenty of space & offers gluten free options. It can be busy during peak hours. It often seems to be busy when we walk past on our way home from work. The prices are not the cheapest compared to some more casual Chinese restaurants. We were lucky to get a table right away & a very hospitable & helpful waitress who took us through various vegetarian options. And the food was delicious. Overall I would say itβs a good restaurant worth trying - especially for something a step above the casual Chinese takeaway. If you choose to visit outside the rush hour or arrive early you can easily avoid the wait | service issues.
We ordered pan fried pork buns, steamed soup dumplings, fresh fried shredded eels and fried spinach with oyster mushrooms. However, there wasn't a piece of mushroom which you could see from the photo. I told the waitress and she pointed at the same dish ordered by another table, saying it was like that π€£ The taste wasn't bad but just overly commercialised.
Discovered this place by an extended family member who is local here. Absolutely love everything we ordered. Enjoyed so much forgot to take photos βΊοΈ Will be back whenever got a chance Recommend yes π
Really good food. We ordered everything off the QR code and found it really easy. The food was excellent and came out really quickly. Definitely would recommend.
