I hadn’t been back to Tiantong for a long time, and I’m happy to say it still tastes exactly the way I remember. The flavors are just as good as before—consistent and satisfying. We ordered the eel with hot oil, dry-fried pork intestines, Linyi-style stir-fried chicken, salted duck, and pan-fried soup dumplings. Every dish was delicious and full of flavor. The eel was especially fragrant, and the dumplings were juicy and perfectly cooked. It’s rare to find a place that maintains this level of quality over time. Definitely a five-star experience—highly recommended!

Use to like this place but feel it has changed. Seems more quiet at lunch as there is competition providing a similar product. Steam dumplings are nice but the pan fired is not. Serving size is ok but not overly generous. Price is ok in the main. Would I go back soon? Probably not ..

Taste of Shanghai is a delightful restaurant for delicious food. Their dumplings and buns are fantastic, always so juicy and flavourful. Their pastries and desserts are also really good. In general, everything is quite good. Very enjoyable, overall. They can get really busy, so there's often a wait for a table but it's usually a quick queue as service is fast and friendly. Highly recommended.

I’ve never seen service worse than this before. I’ve also never waited an hour for tofu and scallion pancakes in any restaurant. We asked politely how much longer it was gonna take for the tofu and pancakes, she rudely said that they’re still preparing and that it “doesn’t take that fast” to cook. God forbid I want to know where my food is after an hour of waiting. What a joke. By the time we even asked about where the rest of our food was, our plates were either empty or had almost nothing left. I’d rather save my money instead of wasting my time coming again.
