It was a wonderful lunch time experience. We had taken our 7 year old granddaughter with us. It's a very family oriented place. The food was fresh, fast and delicious. The servings were generous and the menu was extensive including desserts.
The Mog Champ sends his regards. Have been to their Hurstville branch multiple times before but today their Eastwood one for the first time. The experience and quality is similar. You can't go wrong with Cantonese yum cha at Taste of Shunde. We ordered the usual dumplings and dishes that most people get like the siu mai, prawn dunplings and steamed rice noodles. The restaurant is however smaller than the Hurstville one. Quick service, great Cantonese food. Thanks for the lunch, Taste of Shunde Mogliest Regards, Your Mog Champ
I’ve always been a loyal fan of "taste of Shunde" , especially their dinner service. The seafood selection is amazing — you can really enjoy an all-you-can-eat experience with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. Everything tastes incredibly fresh and satisfying. Highly recommend this place for family gatherings!
A restaurant focused on Southern Chinese cuisine, a group of 5 of us decided to give place a try. Staff were attentive and kept checking in for our tea. Food also came out in a reasonable pace. I recommend the the double steamed milk dessert and the Coral Trout Seafood Platter. The seafood was fresh, and the noodles beneath it soaked in the various flavours. The roast goose though, wasn't as good as the other store. The dish size are very generous. A good addition to the Eastwood Chinese restaurant scene. Will be back in the future 👍😋
A restaurant focused on Southern Chinese cuisine. We booked for 10 people and we ordered 6 dishes : 1. XO sauce pipis with handmade rice noodles 2. Pan fried green chillies stuffed with dace fish mince 3. Dice wagyu beef with garlic 4. Salt and pepper squid 5. Sunde roasted goose (Whole) 6. Steamed fish cooked in 3 styles coral trout But actually we came for the 星班三味鱼 seafood platter ($318 with medium size coral trout) - it's a beautiful platter of seafood steamed on a giant lotus leaf: there's a live coral trout filleted and steamed 3 ways (green peppercorn, Chinese olive, red chilli), alongside some prawns and pipis. Under the seafood is a layer of silky 陈村粉 Chencun rice noodles. It was pretty good - the fish was 爽 firm, bouncy, flaky, fresh-tasting. The prawns were OK - large but not very 鲜. The rice noodles aren't as full of sweet, fragrant seafood essence as you'd expect - I think because coral trout doesn't have much by way of juices, and these particular prawns for some reason weren't very juicy either. Still tasty though. This portion was perfect for 10 people with 5 other dishes. The 蒜香和牛粒 wagyu beef cubes with garlic, capsicum, mushrooms was delicious - tender, juicy beef stir-fried in a moreish sweet and salty sauce. Lovely and colourful too. Pricey though at $63.80. Roasted goose is Crispy and more lean than duck. Highly recommend this dish. Pipis were nice and came with wide flat rice noodles but I prefer vermicelli noodles because if you don’t eat it quickly, the noodles get swollen and just stick together. Service is good and friendly. The place is compact because is a holiday and people are coming to enjoy dinner with family and relatives
