The restaurant perfectly captures the atmosphere of a traditional Northeastern Chinese eatery, with nostalgic 90s-style décor that makes the whole experience feel unique and memorable. The highlight of the meal was definitely the Spicy Lamb Spine Hot Pot. The meat was incredibly tender, full of flavour, and easily fell off the bone. The rich, spicy broth made it perfect for sharing, especially on a cold day.
Hearty, bold, and comforting — Northeast Chinese food never disappoints. The braised pork belly melts in your mouth, and the sour cabbage stew is pure winter magic. 10/10 would eat again.

It’s charmingly chaotic and totally immersive — like a time warp into rural Northeast China. The food is bold, hearty, and unapologetically rustic. Portions are big (Northeast style!), made for sharing, and everything comes fast and hot. You order via a tablet, which makes navigating the extensive menu a bit easier — especially if you don’t speak Mandarin. This place is about comfort food, cultural vibes, and a bit of fun chaos — not fine dining. But that’s what makes it special. Highly recommend for groups, cold nights, or anyone wanting to explore a lesser-known but deeply satisfying corner of Chinese cuisine.
Really nice Northeastern Chinese food! Loved the decor. Waitress was friendly and service was quick. No lines for us, in fact it was quiet. Portion sizes were good and prices were reasonable. Spent $180+ on 8 dishes, 3 heaped bowls of rice, 3 soft drinks and a LARGE bottle of Harbin beer which was refreshing on a hot sunny day. Each dish was tasty and presented nicely. Minus the 1 star only because no one’s cooking can compare to hubby’s northeastern homemade food made with love at home (I may be bias!) LOL
