We ordered through DoorDash and a mistake was made with a wrong food delivered. I made a phone call and the correct meal was delivered with a smile. I was so happy to have my favourite sweet and sour chicken arrive. The food is delicious and good value. Thank you for such great service.

I’ll be honest, my review is definitely biased. I’ve been coming here for 27 years. Same laid-back owner, same familiar food (I always go for the satay chicken 🤪). It’s one of those reliable spots you can count on after a long day when you don’t feel like cooking. Waitara Kitchen has always been there, and still is. Plus, it's easy to get to and has an accessible entrance for a wheelchair 👍🏼

As a Chinese person, this was truly the worst food I’ve ever had! Those self-service dishes seemed like they were made days ago, the rice was hard, and the noodles were dark! It was probably due to being reheated multiple times. I wonder if this meets food safety and hygiene standards. The most absurd part was that they charged an extra dollar for dishwashing, even though I was dining in the restaurant. Such a strange practice! And the portions were so tiny. What a greedy and unscrupulous business.

Went to Hornsby hospital and one of us walked down while waiting for doctor and bought from here. The looks we got when eating Chinese from how good it smelt were entertaining. Done this twice now and now I have been pavloved. Everytime we go to the hospital now, my mouth starts watering. Great food for very fair price with great serving sizes.
