Insane how good the breakfast was here. High quality produce. Quick friendly service and great value. A perfect start to the day, and the st Matthias bus stop is across the road to get into the tourist spots.
The BEST coffee, sandwiches, pastry and banter in Paddington. Old mates was a home away from home for me. Tat and Tom always make you feel very welcome and are more than happy to chew the fat about anything. For breakfast, the ham n cheese, cruffin and pain au choc are my picks (but the cookies, muffins and banana bread are also all delish). For lunch can’t go wrong with any of the sandwiches, make sure you check for a special too. Miss you guys already ❤️
It had been a long time since I had eaten a sandwich with such a well-balanced flavour. The Italian sandwich is my favourite. The smoothie was also of high quality. The staff were lovely, especially the barista, who was very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is really welcoming and it was a pleasure to spend time in this café. There isn't much seating space, but there is enough to spend a good while there.
I have been going to my favourite (institutional) cafe for the past 30 years. I watched the couple hard at it as new operators, and they really are just a family loving what they do for their community first (rather than pockets). Gotta go and experience the energy. Well done guys.
Dangerously good toastie (the Chicken), seriously the best I’ve ever had! So much so I have craved it ever since will be my first stop when I come back for a holiday. The service was amazing. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend!
