We went on a Saturday night and the place was packed by 6:30pm. The food tastes good, but be careful with the spice levels! We ordered the Mala Xiangguo (spicy dry pot) with "slight spicy," and it was actually quite hot. Unless you are a serious spice lover, do not go any higher than that 🌶️. Only was that there were a bit too many onions in the pot compared to the other ingredients. Overall, a tasty meal if you can handle the heat.
Not too bad! The stir fried noodles had a lot of corn beef. The beef noodle tasted OK but a bit oily. The spring roll pancake had no taste, not recommend this dish. Over all was OK 3 out of 5.
The dry pot is amazing! When you arrive, you will be given an menu/order sheet. Just select what you'd like, and your preferred spice level. They cook it fresh and fast. Love coming here. Best place to park is Chatswood Chase.
Mainland Chinese eatery serving all the usual chilli oil goodness. Master Bowl enables you to choose customosable ingredients for your stirfry. Service is usual Asian standard. Prices are a bit high for serving sizes.
There aint too many places in Chatswood where you can get decent grub when it is later in the evening. This place is open till midnight. It was my first time trying this place. The lady who took our order was very pleasant. It is a slightly different experience dining here: 1. Order is placed by filling up either the chinese or english menu chit. A pen is provided on each table, which is stuck into the tissue box. 2. For the fish fillet with chilli oil: - there is a choice of basa or snakehead fish slices - able to request a milder level of spicy - a slightly different style of chilli oil fish as it was more broth like with more of a spict broad bean paste base as opposed to primarily oil. - the broth was really pleasant & goes well with the rice 3. The rice was boiled to my personal definition of perfection. Each grain of rice formed beautifully, was fragrant and at the right level of moisture. The location is slightly away from the train station or bus interchange but still within walkable distance or can be reached by bus.
