This is hands down my top recommendation for affordable Yum Cha. It offers amazing value without sacrificing quality. The food is authentic Hong Kong-style dim sum, and while they have excellent traditional steamed dishes, their specialties really stand out. If you love rice noodle rolls, you absolutely must try the Sun Ho Signature Roll. It’s wrapped around a crispy dough stick and shrimp—honestly unforgettable. We usually don’t order many buns, but the Custard Buns here are worth mentioning for their rich, milky flavor. It gets very busy, so I strongly suggest booking a table in advance. Just a heads-up: you will need a valid RSL membership to get in.
Great yum cha. Dumplings are always fresh. Rather than carts you submit your order when seated. Chili sauce is available on your table which saves you ordering it multiple times.
The yum cha is decent, but I personally prefer the traditional trolley-style service with aunties pushing carts around, rather than ordering from a menu. The chicken feet and durian pastry were good and definitely stood out.
About average for yum cha in Campsie. Sitting is cosy and comfy here where they put tables quite apart. Club members discount.
If you are looking for an authentic yum cha experience, this spot is definitely worth a visit. The food is consistently high quality, with several standout dishes that keep me coming back. The steamed rice rolls (cheung fun) are served silky and hot, and the har gow (shrimp dumplings) and siu mai are expertly prepared with fresh, plump fillings. I also highly recommend trying their seasonal Chinese greens, which provide a perfect, crunchy balance to the heavier dumpling dishes. The only downside is the popularity of the place. During peak hours, you should expect a fairly long wait for a table. However, once you are seated, the flavors more than make up for the time spent in line.
