I have been going to this place for a few yrs and I have held myself back from giving any bad feedback , but not today. Firstly they took 30 mins to prep a bowl of chicken momos. And I also got to see how they prepped it - took momos from a container, added the sauce and then microwaved it !! And served it. I was basically waiting for the microwave to be available And something of less importance- as you can see quite less
Went there today to get some momos, ended up paying $55 ( for two large vege momos $17 x 2 ,worth and two fantas $10, plus public holiday surcharge) , the guy at the counter told that the momos will be served at the table. Waited for some time and instead of being served on the table, staff started shouting 'Vege Momos' behind the counter. Asked for steamed momos with separate pickle when ordered (large size), was given two small bowls instead. Was hungry thus instead of dispute, ate the momo served and left the shop. Paid for large but was given small portion with 6 momos, picture attached.
Thrilled about the momos. Not thrilled about charging $2 extra for 'green salad' only to find out it's only shallots. Shallots are not a green salad. They're condiments which should come on the soup anyways.
It was my second time visiting this restaurant in Manly. My second experience was better. It is located in a small ally in Manly. The menu is quite simple, we got Momo in two different sauces but they tasted the same, however it was delicious. We also got Poke ball which was good. The service was quick. The atmosphere there is great especially when you go on a weekend.
I built my own bowl today, and all I received was: 4 slices of cucumber, 1 teaspoon of the other four vegetables and 1 cup of rice. No sauce at all. Very disappointed. It cost me $17 for basically a bowl of rice. I won't be coming back.
