It is my first time at an afghan, I’m honestly mad at myself for not eating this kind of food more often, it was so rich in flavor and the bread was amazing, really quiet aswell even having 4-5 tables around me with people
Delicious food! The Kabuli palav (braised lamb shank with rice), braised lentils, kabab, and the bread was truly delicious. The bread is baked fresh, warm and crispy which goes perfectly well with the lentils and grilled meat. It was new year and the shop was very busy. The staff did a great job in cleaning the tables promptly and got the meals served :) Would definitely return!
Very disappointed with this kebab. The meat tasted burnt and the overall quality was not good at all. I was expecting fresh food and better taste, but it was overcooked and hard to enjoy. Hopefully they improve the quality and pay more attention to the food preparation.
Recently, I visited Tolo Kabab House at Aftaari. The portions were generous, and the kebabs were delicious. We ordered a mix platter kababs and Manto, a dish I tried for the first time. While I enjoyed the Manto's flavor, the accompanying yogurt chutney and lentil (daal chana) on top it weren't to my liking. However, the Manto itself was a pleasant surprise. One thing that took some getting used to was the yogurt drink, which was thicker and more sour than what I'm accustomed to. Nevertheless, it was an interesting experience. Overall, I had a good experience at Tolo Kabab House, and I would recommend it to others.
I went here with my son and family to break our fast and we were all no please with the food and the service we received. The service was fast and the food was very tasty and full. The prices are so low I still cannot believe how they do it. You don't need to go to other Afghani restaurant and pay double and get poor quality service and small portions. They may look nicer inside but you won't be getting your money's worth. I recommend this place to everyone and will be back again.
