We heard good reviews about this place so we ordered two takeaway meals for dinner. We ordered the 4pc chicken meal with chips and gravy and the BBQ chicken salad bowl. Unfortunately, the bottom of the salad bowl was soggy from the coleslaw, which also made the lettuce soggy. It was also smothered in BBQ sauce. Was only able to eat the chicken, which was nice and tender but perhaps use a little less BBQ sauce and reconsider salad options.

A huge thank you to Head Chef Ivy and the wonderful staff at Flappy’s Fried Chicken Penrith, located at 24/2115 Castlereagh Road, Penrith. My eight-year-old grandson recently celebrated his birthday at an indoor soccer facility nearby, and having Flappy’s just across the road was absolutely perfect for feeding more than 70 children and parents. The convenience, freshness and quality of the food made the entire experience worry-free and memorable. We ordered a large catering selection including Flappy’s famous chicken tenders, their delicious signature Flappy’s sauce, crispy fries, potato bread, and rich gravy and every item was served fresh, hot and absolutely delicious. And Flappy’s chicken is halal; if it is a personalized requirement. From the very beginning, Head Chef Ivy and her dedicated Flappy’s Penrith team made us feel like truly valued customers. Their professionalism, helpful recommendations, outstanding communication and excellent customer service during ordering and pickup were exceptional. The staff even assisted in carrying the large order to our car, which was deeply appreciated. Many of our guests were trying Flappy’s for the very first time, and the feedback throughout the party was fantastic: “We’ve always wanted to try Flappy’s — this is the perfect party food. The kids absolutely love it!” Flappy’s delivered not only delicious food, but also warmth, hospitality and genuine care that helped make our grandson’s birthday celebration extra special. I highly recommend Flappy’s Fried Chicken Penrith for your next party, family gathering, sports event or special occasion. Ivy and her team will look after you with excellence and a happy heart. Flappys is hands down the best fried chicken in Penrith. The chicken is always crispy, juicy and full of flavour, and the sauces and sides make the whole meal even better. The whole place has a really cool vibe and it’s easy to see why it’s become so popular. The only downside is the prices can be a little high compared to other fried chicken spots, but honestly the quality makes it worth it. If you’re craving proper American-style fried chicken, Flappys is definitely the place to go.

You absolutely have to check out this restaurant! They serve halal chicken that’s perfect for Muslims. They have two delicious options: the original chicken and the spicy one. Both are fantastic! The coleslaw could use a little more moisture, but the mashed potatoes with gravy are super tasty, and the crispy chicken is just amazing. Definitely worth a visit!

Decent place for a ‘Raising Cane’ dupe. We got there around 11.30am and waited in line for around 20 minutes. Got to the front and immediately realised what the hold up was. Staff are just extremely slow. We knew exactly what we wanted to order yet staff made it unnecessarily hard for no reason? Food itself was good - we orders the spicy chicken combo with the flappy sauce and chips, potato and mash, mac and cheese, fried chicken waffles and strawberry lemonade. Could probably skip the mac and cheese but everything else was good.
