The best Filipino restaurant in Sydney. It’s a perfect venue for special celebrations or just wanting to indulge for self love. Highly recommend the tasting menu. The chicken inasal is something to die for. The beef asado is heavenly. Oh yea, the prawn palabok is awesome. The leche flan with Murray salt has its unique taste that is very satisfying. Such a warm humble atmosphere and vibe. Kudos to the couple chef -Francis and Aileen. Will definitely go back for birthday celebrations very soon. Filipino cuisine in perfection. 🇵🇭

We tried Filipino food for the first time and had a really nice experience. The food was great, with flavours that felt new to us but still really comforting. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, and the staff were genuinely lovely and attentive throughout our visit. We ordered the quail, the lemongrass chicken, and the calamari. Everything was well cooked and full of flavour, and it made for a memorable first introduction to Filipino cuisine. Overall, a great spot with good food and even better service. We’d happily come back!

First, it’s the first Filipino restaurant I have been to in NSW that doesn’t have the “karenderya” element in it. There is that real ambiance that can compete against its surrounding competitons. My praises start with the menu. Simple. Unique. No bullshits. No pictures that I could onlly use against the actual food served. There is class. Here comes the the taking of orders. While we are busy trying rto decide on what to order, they already offered us to try their calamansi juice. Sensing about our indecisions on what to order, the wait staff came to explain every single offerings in the menu. She’s very knowledgeable about what the food is all about from the key ingredients to what the diners can expect on the food. So no shortfalls on surprises. The food is served in a very decent and appetising presentation. So I beg to disagree to other reviews who left a 1 star because of the price tag on each food. That’s for those who are used to karenderya dining. Ambiance and dining experience is part of the package. Would I come back? Definitely! The staff was very good, very friendly, engaging and really looks after us as customers. Would I recommend it? Hell, yeah! It’s a restaurant that would make Sir Manong’s a pungko-pungko resto when compared to Takam.

Dinner time, the first time trying authentic Filipino flavours. Warm welcoming by the staff with great detail of attention and explanation of the dishes. The flavours, textures and presentation were beautiful crafted! Definitely it's an experience that I will repeat! Truly recommended! All the staff members were helpful and really pouring it into what they do! Thanks for the amazing experience.

Just visited Takam and honestly… everything was amazing. From the atmosphere to the service and especially the food, you can really tell there’s so much care in every detail. They’ve put such a great twist on Filipino dishes while still keeping that comforting, “taste of home” feeling, and everything was served so consistently. The staff were super friendly and always ready to help, which made the whole experience even better. Takam really brings you home with every bite. Will definitely be back 🤍
