Had a great dine-in experience at this fish and chips spot. The fish was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside and soft, flaky on the inside. Chips were fresh, well-seasoned, and served hot. The portion sizes were generous and definitely good value for money. The dine-in area was clean and comfortable, and the service was friendly and efficient. Food came out quickly, which made the experience even better. Overall, a reliable place for quality fish and chips. Highly recommended.
I’m glad I finally found a fish and chips shop that ticks all the boxes. The portions are generous, the prices are very reasonable, and the quality of the food is excellent. With seafood prices becoming so expensive these days, it’s hard to find a place in Sydney that offers this much value. We ordered the Seafood Platter for Two and thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommended.
🔥 You’ll leave full, happy — and probably needing to loosen the belt 😂 Let’s begin, We went to Alexandria Seafood and I’ve got to say, everything was next-level delicious. I went with the grilled/baked dory after the staff recommended it — and I’m so glad I listened. Perfectly cooked, super tasty, really filling, and that Greek salad with a twist (potato!) just took it to another level. The boys loved their meals too — crispy chips, juicy prawn cutlets, tender calamari, and the marinated BBQ octopus was a standout: full of flavour, soft not chewy, and cooked perfectly. And the portions? Insane value for money. The boys couldn’t even finish and had to take some home. The service was outstanding — friendly, chilled, and we were laughing like we’d known them for years. The place is clean, tidy, and has that cool 80s/90s vibe. We ate in, but there’s plenty of seating outside too. Hands down, one of the top fish & chips spots around. Whether you’re solo, with your partner, mates or the whole family — just go, you won’t regret it. Funny warning: if you wear skinny jeans here, you better Uber home — because you’re not bending again today. 😂😝
Highlight of my day! Fresh, delicious seafood that doesn't make you feel sick after. The owner is a real stand up guy too! For a coastal metropolis like Sydney, it has become frustratingly and increasingly rare to find decent fish & chips. Not here though. Trust a lowkey local greek business to deliver! No frills, impressively good quality seafood and an honest local business! Recommend 100%
I had heard many good-to-great things about this place. The seafood shop is reliably, one of old. A telephone line to take preorders directly and a small tuckshop storefront to sling fried and grilled seafood, thick cut chips radioactively coloured from OTT chicken salt (the best kind) and Greek salad. In Sydney, the fish and chip shop is historically run by Greek families, an old Chinese couple or beach living Aussies. Alexandria Seafood however owes its delicious array of open water proteins to its Kiwi (NZ) inheritance and Pacific Islander leanings. Even with a 25 min added travel time, the batter was fluffy and crispy while not losing its shape and falling off the fish/calamari. The grilled selection was extremely well seasoned and marinated. A bit of acidity, not just from the lemon wedges but also from the use of fresh herbs and aromatics. Nothing is too overpowering either, redacting from the smokiness from the char on the grilled octopus, the sweetness of the prawn flesh or the buttery bite of the ling fillets. It’s priced insanely democratically. But that’s often a privilege that is earned and not given within Sydney’s dining out diaspora. Simple food done well, representing some of the best produce that’s abundant enough to feed many. Atmosphere: N/A as it’s mainly takeaway but the team were great !
