Had such an amazing experience at Bistro Rex. Every dish we ordered was incredible from start to finish. The steak was beautifully cooked, and the gnocchi was genuinely to die for. We absolutely devoured it and were fighting for the last bites hahhaa. The entrees were amazing too, especially the warm octopus dish. Even the potatoes in it were SO good. Dessert did not disappoint either, we got the crème brûlée and finished the plate completely clean. What made the experience even better was how pet friendly the place is. I got to bring my puppy, which made the night extra special. The service was also amazing throughout, and making a reservation over the phone for an outdoor table because of our pet was super easy and seamless. Highly recommend! Will definitely be back!

Bistro Rex is a really solid night out. The food is excellent across the board, with well-executed classic French bistro dishes that feel familiar but done beautifully. The ambience is the standout. It has that lively, slightly moody energy that makes the whole experience feel a bit special without trying too hard. Service is fine, but it’s really the food and atmosphere that carry it. A great spot for a relaxed dinner and a few glasses of wine.

I take my parents to fine dining every Sunday, and my two requirements are: have a water view, and pet-friendly. I guess that’s why we missed out this restaurant because it sits in a residential area and has no view. However, this time we are very amazed. Food is fantastic! Service is great too! Our waiter Christian is so lovely and considerate. Outdoor siting is very warm with the heater so please don’t worry if you plan to dine here with your furry ones in winter. Also outdoor siting is super pet-friendly. Christian brought some water to my dog and he even apologised the water came late - it wasn’t at all! Everyone is so friendly at this restaurant. If I have to pick something negative, it would be the kitchen smoke all goes into the washrooms. And the food does take a while to get ready. We waited a long while to get our mains. I understand French/Italian food would take a longer time to cook but dad had insulin so I would appreciate if the food could come a bit quicker. All in all this is a very lovely venue. We will definitely come more often. Response to Baci: thank you so much for such a wonderful response! This is definitely 6 star management level! We will see you guys again very soon 🩵

After giving up on Australian beef in those touristy restaurants, I came to this restaurant for Duck but they only serve duck in the winter. I decided to give Australian beef 1 last chance after the manager showed me the cut in raw. The 28-year-old cooked the 900 gram m4 ribeye medium rare to perfection. That was the best steakhouse i had in Sydney. Good job. BTW, the cheese souffle was very unique but it prevented me from trying their dessert souffle. Nice people
