Tucked away with pure Parisian charm, Café de la Fontaine gives beautiful French vibes the moment you walk in. The ambience feels elegant yet cozy — perfect for a relaxed coffee break. The pistachio éclair is an absolute standout — fresh, rich, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. Definitely a must-try. The coffee is also really nice, smooth and well-made, pairing perfectly with the desserts. A lovely spot if you’re in the mood for a little French escape without leaving the city. 🇫🇷☕️
Cute little cafe located right opposite the El Alamein fountain. They had a few different flavours of eclair on offer - we had the tiramisu eclair and also raspberry tart. Both very delicious!
Pastries were mostly good, not excessively sweet and well balanced esp the lemon curd tart. The rest were ok but the canele was ghastly!! The texture was so dense, I’m horrified that these were served. (I’ve attached a pic of how canele is meant to look). Very inconsistent standard each time I try this cafe.
My Mother and I absolutely love Cafe de la Fontaine. The service is always incredibly friendly, warm and attentive! We have rated the coffee best in Potts Point along with their Barista Chai. His coffee skills and creative coffee making are award winning! The staff truly continue to demonstrate why this business is highly successful through their warm, old fashioned customer service and their continued interaction with customers, making this cafe feel like a "family operated establishment". Thank you to Barista Chai, and today's staff members Abbey, Milo, Carlos and Carolin for allowing my Mother and I to share this experience. You have taken care of us on numerous occasions and your service never fails. It's rated A+. We travel up to 50km to visit your cafe and although we have many choices of places to enjoy in the Eastern Suburbs, it's your staff and coffee that have us returning each time. We will continue to promote your venue amongst family, friends and coffee lovers. Once again. Thank you Cafe de la Fontaine and your incredible staff members.
I come here at least 3x a week. Best pastries and food I’ve had from any cafe in Sydney. Everything is so fresh and the pastries are as creative and whimsical, as they are delicious.
