I had such a wonderful birthday celebration at L Heritage. As a French restaurant, the atmosphere was elegant, romantic, and perfect for a special occasion. The food was beautifully presented, and the service was warm and attentive throughout the evening. What touched me the most was that the staff prepared a lovely little surprise for me, which made me feel truly special and cared for. Thank you, L Heritage, for making my birthday so memorable. I highly recommend this place and would love to come back again.

We had a wonderful evening at L'Heritage. Situated at one end of the secluded Chowder Bay, on the historic site of Navay Submarine Mining, L'Heritage sits at the top floor of a three storey building by the rocks. Most of the dining room windows are exposed to the beautiful Sydney Harbour. On the particular evening we were fortunate to be assigned a window table, with a view easily cause one lost in thoughts. The Chowder Bay night background is only partially illuminated by residential lighting is enchanting. The interior of the restaurant easily matched the magical atmosphere outside with romantic lighting and mild paced background music. My better half pointed out some European features in the decorations including a saucepan hanging above a doorway indicating this is an eatery. The service at the restaurant was very fluent flow with great care to details. It was professional and personal from the moment that we were greeted at the door to time we walked into the night. The food was awesome. At just right serve, the delicious contemporary French cooking was worthy for two hours we spent there to appreciate them. The in-house drinks selection was great. The location does have its accessibility drawback. Driving is almost certainly the most convenient method but the designated driver must maintain discipline with drinks. There are plenty of metred parking available even when a wedding was taking place at the nearby Sergeant Mess. More parking are available along Chowder Bay Road further out at a cheaper rate. Overall a very memorable dining experience.

The setting is beautiful. We were seated by the window overlooking the harbour and the water, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and special from the moment we arrived. The menu is well curated and focused, clearly leaning into the dishes they do best. There’s also a lunch special available if you don’t feel like going fully à la carte, which is a nice option. One of us chose the lunch special, while another went à la carte. The snails and the soufflé were absolutely divine, rich and buttery exactly as they should be. For mains we had duck à l’orange and steak with crisp fried potatoes, a classic French combination that was done beautifully. For dessert we shared a crème brûlée, which was the perfect finish. Service was excellent throughout. Friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and the wine recommendation was spot on. All in all, it was a wonderful lunch and a great place for a celebration. Thank you to the team for such a lovely experience.

I’ve been to L’Heritage several times now, both for lunch and dinner, and every time I leave thinking the same thing: this place is something special. As a French person, I can honestly say it’s my favourite French restaurant in Sydney. Not only because the food is exceptional, but because the whole experience just feels right. The location is incredible. Tucked away in Chowder Bay, it has one of the most beautiful views of Sydney Harbour. Lunch is amazing if you want to sit back and enjoy the water and the peaceful surroundings, while dinner is pure magic for the sunset. What I love most is that it doesn’t feel like you’re in Sydney anymore. You’re surrounded by the national park, the harbour, nature and wildlife. If you’re lucky, you might spot the little rabbits around the property or even a seal swimming in the bay. I’ve recommended Heritage to friends for birthdays, anniversaries, family lunches, date nights and celebrations, and it never disappoints. It somehow manages to be elegant without feeling stuffy, which is rare. The team is wonderful. They know what they’re doing, but more importantly, they genuinely care. You can feel the heart behind this place, from the warm welcome to the service and every dish that arrives at the table. Nothing feels forced. It’s just people who are passionate about what they do and doing it really well. For me, L’Heritage is one of those rare restaurants where the view, the food and the service are all equally memorable. Every time I visit, I already look forward to coming back.

We had our wedding lunch at L'Heritage last December, and it was truly one of the best experiences we’ve ever had , not just for us, but for all of our guests as well. We booked the private Salon area for lunch, and from our very first inquiry until the final details of the event, Killian guided us so warmly and professionally throughout the whole process. The food was exceptional, the wine selection was beautiful, and every guest kept talking about how much they loved the experience. The coastal view and atmosphere made the celebration even more special and memorable. Thank you so much to the whole team for making our wedding lunch so perfect. We can’t wait to come back for our anniversary.
