Several years ago, just happened to be walking in Pyrmont, looking for a place to grab a bite to eat. Stumbled on Afternoon Bread. Every year since, when I'm in town, I visit whenever I'm in the area, and will make a special trip several times a month just to enjoy the food, the atmosphere, the service. Honestly, my FAVORITE lunch spot in Sydney. Their sandwiches are fantastic, as is their bread, made there. The service is so friendly; it's like the TV show Cheers. I walk in, they KNOW what I will be having for lunch (the chicken sandwich on sourdough with all the fixings... it's a FULL meal). Even after a year, when I return, I'm greeted with a big smile and a knowing nod of what I'll be having. Great to sit outside, enjoy the food, watch the passing parade of people, enjoy a breeze, talk with an adjacent table. Inclement weather, no problem, sit inside. A great place to spend an hour, relaxing, good food, good people. Your loss if you miss it.
A great selection of pastries in pyrmont. My son loved their apple strudel - he usually had two each time. The breakfast burger did not disappoint and it was tasty as. Customer service was always attentive. Highly recommended!!!
Cute cafe in a lovely old building just off the square in Pyrmont. Both the bagel with halloumi, rocket, egg and rocket, and the cheeseburger with caramelised onion were delicious. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. The cafe is a great place to sit and watch the constant procession of people walking by.
The avocado halloumi croissant was delicious and the service was great! The staff were super friendly and every interaction with them was so wholesome it made me really happy to be able to dine there. I love the presentation of the food and the design of the cafe is super cute and creates a lovely atmosphere
The coffee space is warm and cute, with beautiful decorations. The bread here is very delicious, especially the croissants. The portions are generous with reasonable prices, and the vegetarian options are excellent. I will recommend this place to my friends to come and enjoy it.
