I'd like to thank you for the nice Campsie hotel experience. The staff were great. Food was good and great value. Only thing is you need to sort out your exhaust system in relation to the overall smokey smell in the place. That will turn plenty of potential customers off. It's also extremely toxic to the girls in the bar near the smoking section breathing that all day. You're basically shortening their lives.
A quiet and comfortable place to stay. The food is excellent, especially the fish and chips. The alcoholic and soft drinks are also fresh. The service is excellent from all the staff, and most importantly, everyone there, visitors and members alike, is respectful and treats each other with genuine kindness and friendship.ππΊππππ·π»
I stayed here with family including 2 kids. The bedroom was clean and big enough for family with little fridge, electric kettle, suger, coffe sache and cupboard provided. The bedsheet and blankets were clean and provided new when asked cleaner. Shared toilets were clean regularly and were not busy during my trip. Few things were not on expectations, Lighting was put on low by Hotel, and hot water in female shower was not working on 1st floor. We felt smoking smell within bar and gaming area while entering and exiting hotel. Staff was not friendly thought out our stay, limited street parking with 1 hr limitation. Overall I will say my experience was best for the price i paid.
Attention: Manager Campsie Hotel Your poker machine room manager by the name of "Grace" and the staff who work beneath her are the worst example of 'customer service.' They make patrons feel unwelcome with their arbitrary rules and take longer than 20 minutes delivering one drink of Coca-Cola even though it's a small room. When we moved to a different poker machine and pressed the drink order button repeatedly because we thought it wasn't working, we were scolded by the worker even though they were non-responsive for over 20 minutes at the first machine we were playing at. They seem to employ delay tactics there for ordering a 'free' non-alcoholic drink that's costs them less than 50 cents whilst we are spending in excess of $500 there on their machines and never mind cumulative losses over many visits. Pathetic. They are also one of the few poker rooms in Sydney that doesn't have non-smoking rooms so you are suffering from second-hand carcinogenic smoke whilst putting up with their disrespectful and poor 'service.'
Late review, but was a great location, staff were kind and the shared bathrooms were adequate. Rooms had a swipe card key, fan and handy fridge, and selection of teas. 10/10 would stay again!
