The best Indian take away in Sydney! We've been coming here regularly for the past 30 years. What I like most about Curry Lane is that the hard working couple there never changed the delicious recipes... That would explain their longevity. So many restaurants have come and gone in Lane Cove, but Curry Lane continues to be reliable and delicious! Highly recommended! Thank you guys!
Worst curry I’ve eaten in many, many years. The Butter Chicken was tasteless with no velvety or creaminess to it. Rogan Josh meat was dry and hard. The Palak Paneer was a watery mess of cheese chunks and under cooked and non puréed spinach, and the Garlic Naan was stodgy with raw, barely cooked garlic chunks. Expensive and very disappointing. Restaurants like this survive because too few people know what decent curry tastes like. Go anywhere else but here for your Indian.
Watery chicken tikka no flavour ordered lamb received dry tasteless chewy beef chunks. Cheap but it's that crap ur better off spending a bit more at a reputable Indian
Decided to try this place for lunch. While the service was friendly, the Butter Chicken was a little disappointing. It came out watery, lacked flavour, and didn't have the rich creamy texture and taste I was hoping for. On a positive note, I had a Garlic & Cheese Naan to go with it. This was great! Was the highlight of the meal. Overall, I hate to say it, but other than the great price and Naan, it would be worth spending the extra $$ elsewhere. Sorry :/
Got the Mango Chicken, Dahl and more and top quality. Family loves it!!! I plan to go there a lot more (as it's one the way home) and I also loved the fresh Garlic Naan that they made. They have a proper Tandoori there and the chicken was extremely wonderful too. Even though rice is standard, it was fresh and firm - and had a nice flavour about it. Great place and shall be back for more and highly recommended!
