Wow! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️We've been coming to Showground Village to do our groceries and have seen this restaurant before. Finally we decided to try it tonight and we loved everything we ordered. The Blue Cheese Naan with Hot Honey was the most delicious thing I've ever eaten! We enjoyed the Goat Briyani, Butter Chicken, and Cheese Naan. The Papadum crackers were served with a yummy mint yogurt. The service was incredible and we felt very well taken care of. I'm glad we came today. We'll be back!

Went for a family dinner on New Year’s Eve and really enjoyed the experience. All the food was great, but the standout was the blue cheese naan — absolutely delicious with perfectly balanced flavours. The goat biryani was also excellent. Service was amazing; the staff were very accommodating and happy to answer all our questions. We ordered around seven dishes for seven people and it was enough, especially when paired with naan or rice. Portions are slightly on the smaller side, but overall it was a very enjoyable meal. Highly recommend.

I had an absolutely frustrating experience at Maharaja’s Castle Hill Showground this evening. The restaurant was completely empty when I went in to order two masala chais for takeaway. Before ordering, I clearly asked the Punjabi female staff member wearing glasses twice if it would take long, because I was in a rush. She checked with the kitchen and confidently told me it would not take more than 5 minutes. That was completely misleading. I ended up waiting around 20 minutes while she kept saying, “It’s ready” and “It’ll be here now,” but nothing came. Since I was in a rush, I had no choice but to leave without the drinks I had already paid for. Later, around 8:15 pm, I came back and asked if they could either give me the teas or provide a refund. The same female staff member wearing glasses and an older male staff member again told me it would take 5 minutes. While I was waiting quietly beside the counter, another male staff member with curly hair and a beard very rudely asked me to wait outside. I found that extremely disrespectful. I was not waiting for an Uber order, and I was not occupying a table. I was waiting for my own paid order, which they had already failed to serve within the promised time in the first place. When I finally received the teas and took the first sip in my car, I was honestly shocked. It tasted like hot water mixed with powdered milk and instant tea bags. In the picture, you can clearly see that the tea looks completely white and watery, not how “chai” is supposed to look or taste. For $7 per cup, this is ridiculous. At a restaurant, especially one charging that much for tea, customers should not be served something that tastes this cheap and careless. This whole experience was disappointing from start to finish.Management seriously needs to address how staff communicate with customers. Giving unrealistic wait times, repeatedly saying an order is ready when it clearly is not, and then asking a paying customer to wait outside is unacceptable.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Maharajah Restaurant — Warm, Flavourful and Worth Every Bite** The lady at the front reception set the tone perfectly — so warm and welcoming from the moment I walked in. The restaurant has a lovely cosy vibe, clean and just the right atmosphere for a relaxed dinner. The food was the highlight. The **Garlic Naan** and **Garlic Cheese Naan** were fresh, soft and absolutely delicious — the cheese naan especially was dangerously good! The **Dal Makhni** was rich, buttery and full of depth, pure comfort food done right. I also tried a couple of **mocktails** which were refreshing and beautifully presented — a lovely touch. Service was attentive and friendly throughout. Overall a really lovely evening — already planning my next visit.😊

Great service and cute decor. Booths can comfortably fit 6 people. Good variety of dishes. For someone like me who hasn’t had much Indian cuisine this was a delight! Not my hood but would go back for the food and vibes 😋
