Had a birthday dinner yesterday. Food was exceptional. Ambiance nice. Floor a little sticky. Service poor. 2 young ladies as wait staff and although not many customers (4 stables in total) they were inattentive and slow. As we had dessert we were the only occupied table in the restaurant at 8pm and they didn’t clear all the food dishes and plates, and empty glasses despite being repeated asked. I actually gathered up a stack of plates and cutlery and took it to them at the bar to clear some room. We had a cake and they were asked 3 times over the course of 15 minutes to bring out the cake. I finally went up to the bar and took the cake off them with no sparklers or anything as they were so slow. They acted totally disinterested the whole time and just couldn’t care less. Extremely poor customer service. From other reviews it seems this is their usual way of operating. Our bill was almost $700, you’d think they would’ve paid us some attention! I’ll only get takeaway in future- will never dine in again. O’Bombay is a fantastic dining experience and very similar food. Will go there instead

My family and I have eaten here multiple times now and every time it is spectacular! The people and restaurant vibe are good, but the food was especially exceptional. So flavourful, good portions and quick service. There were a significant number of people present in the restaurant despite it being a public holiday- that’s how you know it’s really good! We were offered a discounted fried basa fish entrée as they were trialling a new dish and wanted feedback- it was delightful! We ordered chicken tikka masala, cheesy garlic naan, goat biryani, lamb chat patta and a puri entree. All were amazing!! The chicken tikka, cheesy garlic naan and goat briyani never fail us 10/10🤍❤️highly recommend:)

Amazing Indian restaurant in the heart of Hornsby. I've eaten here numerous times and they never disappoint. This time I got the Butter Chicken, Lamb Korma and Goat Nihari curries with butter naan and saffron rice - great value and always left satisfied. Highly recommended!

AMAZING!! We ordered the Konkan prawn tandoori for a starter. They were fantastic. Beautifully presented on the slate and they had the subtle flavour of smokiness from the tandoor as a back note to the curry leaves. Served with a mint chutney. The main we ordered was Meen Kulambu. From a selection of mild, medium or hot we ordered hot. I really enjoy spicy food, and for me it was medium. My husband, who doesn’t tolerate spice as well as I do, found it hotter than medium although not hot. As he said, it wasn’t uncomfortable. I am a food safety supervisor and it really stood out how clean the restaurant was. In addition, staff had their hair pulled back. The garlic naan was fluffy, smoky and soft - perfect for swiping the sauce of the fish curry.

Food was good. The place is very quiet, making it perfect for a peaceful dine-in experience. They have a lot of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, and my kids really enjoyed their food. The only small issue for me was the biryani — the rice portion felt a bit less while the pieces and masala were more. Apart from that, everything else was really good and we had a pleasant experience.
