We decided to eat here because it was close to home and it got good reviews. The food was great! It’s definitely no frills, but good food at a good value. The server was sweet. We had try vegetable samosas, garlic naan (which was fantastic) and vegetable curry. I definitely recommend this restaurant

We had such a wonderful meal here recently. The restaurant is a perfect spot for a relaxed dinner, and the atmosphere felt very welcoming from the moment we walked in. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The bread was served warm in a basket with a delicate paper doily underneath, which was a lovely touch. Every dish arrived at our table beautifully presented in traditional metal bowls. We will definitely be back.

I read good reviews about New Yatra and decided to try it tonight. The food was fantastic. I had the Tandoori chicken, Dum goat briyani, and really wanted to try their Kashmiri naan. The Dum briyani was soft and truly delicious. One of my favourites is peshwari naan but the Kashmiri naan is just as good. The sweet fruit and nuts really hit the spot. The owner was very attentive and pleasant to talk to. He actually delivers the food locally too if you live around the area. Definitely better than cold food delivered by Ubereats instead. Highly recommended if you like good genuine Indian cuisine.

The little one went off to school camp so we decided to go for spicy food which we couldn't have with her around. New Yatra was recommended by ChatGPT! And near where we stay so we decided to give it a try. We went early because we were afraid of parking issues but it turns out ok with the free parking at the library building. Short walk to the restaurant. The good was fantastic! Authentic Indian food with enough spice! We had lamb roganjosh, palak paneer and garlic prawns. We asked for medium spice which we loved. If you are not fantastic with spice, he did ask if we wanted it mild. I liked the palak paneer the most! Probably because it was harder to find. Lamb was also excellent. Prawns were ok. We also had garlic naan. 2 for the two of us was more than sufficient, we didn't need rice. Service was friendly and prompt. Good for those who enjoy spice!

Saturday night takeaway was excellent, first time visitors, I should think we will be back despite it being a little further away from us than our "usual". Enjoyed the Lamb Saag, Butter chicken, and the spicy rogan josh (think it was lamb, not sure I didn't do the ordering). Yum.
