Tried Taste of Himalaya on a Thursday night for dinner and it turned out to be quite busy for dine in customers. Only one waiter who was doing his best. I ordered a chicken chow mein and steamed chicken momos. Food took 30 mins to arrive. They restaurant seems to prioritise online orders. The chow mein was tasty and used a very thin noodle almost spaghetti like. The chicken piece were nicely marinated. The momo was good and the tomato chutney it was served with had nice spice to it. I took the leftovers home for lunch the next day. All up came to $30 including a can of coke. Other Nepalese restaurants in Ashfield have a bit more atmosphere and less fluroscent white lighting. Comfortable chairs.
It was my first time ordering from this restaurant, and I tried a few different dishes: Chicken Chilli Momos, Chicken Jalfrezi, Spicy Chicken Biryani, and Chicken Chowmein. The food was 10/10, the presentation was 10/10, and the taste was perfect. The guy on the call was very polite as well. If they continue maintaining this quality, I will definitely order from them again.
Everything on the menu is exceptional. The serving sizes are amazing, very cozy vibe. Hats off to the chef!!
We ordered the butter chicken curry, which was delicious, slightly sweet and the chicken was very tender. The lamb rogan josh was nicely seasoned and not too salty. The naan was great too, definitely worth ordering. The staff was also very friendly. I’ve already been here twice in a short time and will definitely come back again.
The Mog Champ sends his regards. Ordered takeaway enough for 6 people a few nights ago from here, wait is longer than dining in since they need to prepare it all at once but the wait was worth it when we had it back home! The garlic and cheese naan were amazing especially with the butter chicken and other chicken curries that we ordered. We ordered just enough for all of us with the starters and mains. Thanks for the food, Taste of Himalaya! Mogliest Regards, Your Mog Champ
