Fantastic food, excellent service, and a beautiful function room upstairs. What truly stood out was the owner’s dedication and genuine passion for hospitality. Despite our short notice, he went above and beyond to accommodate us and ensure everything was perfect. That level of care and commitment is rare to find. Overall entire experience exceeded our expectations. It’s clear that customer satisfaction is their top priority. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back! Thank you.

First time trying Urban spices and we were blown away! The food portions were big, tasty and very reasonably priced. Definitely makes our top 3 Indian in Sydney! The owner and his team had very good service and went above and beyond, treating my father with complimentary dessert. Can’t wait to come back again and share this place with more people :)

Incredible Indian food, we had the butter chicken, prawn bhoona, papti chaat along with rice and a garlic naan. The chicken was perfectly cooked, possibly the best butter chicken I have ever had. All of the food was so well cooked and delicious. To go with the amazing food, the service was proactive and friendly. Brought out the starter before the main without asking, kept an eye on our drinks and asked if we wanted another as soon as we’d finished. All around, just a great Indian restaurant, this was the first time we’d visited and we’ll surely be back.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An absolute gem in Balmain We visited Urban Spices yesterday and were blown away. The food is easily some of the best Indian cuisine you can find in Sydney. The ambience is fantastic, reflecting the owner’s true professionalism and deep roots in hospitality. A massive shoutout to Deep and Ankit, who looked after us incredibly well—their service was attentive, warm, and top-tier. The highlight of the night was definitely their signature Malai Kofta. It is completely unique; a flavour profile you honestly won’t find anywhere else in the world. If you are in Balmain, this place is a must-visit. We will definitely be back!

Spectacular Indian ! I was drawn into this amazing place to appreciate the beautiful & exquisite decors & lightings. I’ve ordered Rogan Josh lamb with Naan. They were very tasty but little salty. I gave feedback to the manager/ owner, Giri and he kindly brought me another, new serving. I was only providing my honest feedback for constructive improvement for future. I was bewildered & deeply impressed with his extra effort to satisfy one customer…. I’ve kept admiring the set up, and he showed me the second floor set for group functions. To much of my surprise Giri designed all decors and brought original stuffs from India. It could seat up to 50 ppl complete with huge screen & dance area for parties. They can also bring in the Bollywood dancers if requested. The place was also very clean and has see- through kitchen to show off their commitment & confidence towards customers. They took over this place only 2 years ago, and seems exploding with popularity as proven by all positive feedback. I shall definitely come back with my party friends soon. Borakum - Nama stay 🙏
