Great service from the staff and nice atmosphere. While these are the only 2 aspects I appreciate. The food is disappointed with not cheap price. We do not order any wine or beer as we are not keen to alcohol. So we ordered Gnocchi and pizza as main, arnccini as appetizer and fallen coconut as dessert. Those 2 mains are super salty that we wanted to give up after 1st bite. It would be better to eat with wine (lots of wine). For food itself, it is not enjoyable given the dough/gnocchi +sauce+ toppings are all pretty salty. It would just my personal preference that I prefer to have food with not too many salt, in order to taste the real ingredients rather than to pair with drinks. Hopefully there could be a less sodium option on those 2 main dishes as they have potentials, just too much salt that pushed us away.
What a place! We were instantly greeted by a friendly staff. He was very knowledgeable and friendly throughout our long - winded lunch. My standouts were the steak, magic mushroom dessert and tuna. The steak melted in my mouth and charred perfectly. The chef didn't even asked me how I'd like my steak! Magic mushroom dessert is a must try as it's different - limencello. You should also try the fig pizza as that's also quite unique. The pizza dough at this place is perfect and is firm. It's pram and children friendly - perfect for families and friends.
We were visiting from afar and found the atmosphere to be welcoming and pleasantly upmarket, making it a great setting for a relaxed evening out. We were greeted by a warm and genuinely friendly gentleman on arrival, and throughout the meal the staff checked in regularly with sincere interest, which added to the overall experience. The food was enjoyable overall, although our table had mixed views on some of the dishes. The garlic bread was pleasant enough, though fairly modest in portion size, consisting of two long pieces of focaccia. The Sambuca olives delivered the rich umami flavour you’d expect and were attractively presented. However, they seemed to be missing the chilli element mentioned on the menu. The standout dish of the night was the Prosciutto and Fig Pizza. The combination of gorgonzola, mascarpone, prosciutto and fig was beautifully balanced and full of flavour. While the rocket wasn’t quite to my taste, it certainly didn’t detract from what was an excellent pizza. The Pumpkin Gnocchi with sage butter and pine nuts was less memorable. While the gnocchi itself was well prepared, the dish was a little oily and could have benefited from more flavour. We had expected to see pieces of pumpkin included, which may have added some sweetness and complemented the sage butter sauce nicely. It’s possible the pumpkin was incorporated into the gnocchi itself, but the pumpkin flavour was fairly subtle and didn’t come through strongly. There was a longer-than-expected wait between the entrées and mains, although the restaurant acknowledged the delay and apologised, which was appreciated. Overall, the attentive service and friendly staff helped make for an enjoyable dining experience in a lovely venue. This restaurant sits comfortably somewhere between traditional home-style cooking and modern upmarket Italian dining, offering a pleasant balance of comfort and refinement.
Fine dining in the southwest that actually delivers 🤯✨ From the softest woodfired bread to sea urchin pasta and that insane “fallen coconut” dessert… every dish hit. They start strong with their woodfired puff bread… honestly, one of the best I’ve ever had. Even after filming for ages, it stayed soft, fluffy, and just perfect. Pair that with their garlic prawns in napoletana sauce… it’s rich, comforting, and seriously addictive. The yellowfin tuna crudo is next level—super fresh, topped with fried capers, salsa verde, and pickled ginger for that perfect balance. Then comes the calamari fritti—so crispy—and zucchini flowers filled with ricotta, mascarpone, and parmigiano, finished with basil foam. So creative. Their most popular pizza—fig and prosciutto—and wow, I did not expect that combo to be this good. The MB4 T-bone? Melt-in-your-mouth tender. Absolutely unreal. That fig & prosciutto pizza? Unexpectedly SO good 🍕 #sydneycontentcreator #sydneyitalian #sydneyfoodies #sydneyeats #italianblogger
My first time at Amoretti and I loved it. The waiter Will was great, so friendly and knowledgeable about the food and you could tell by the way he spoke about it that he loved the food also. Definitely coming back.
