The food at Antica was unforgettable. Everything that came out of the kitchen was fresh, well-made, and unique. A special mention to their beef tartare - a small, yet undeniably flavourful dish. Their T-Bone steak was mouthwatering and cooked to perfection (photo for proof). They also have an excellent selection of wines you can choose from to perfectly pair with their dishes. On top of that, the service we received from Claudio was spectacular. He was warm, welcoming, and an awesome server overall. Truly an unforgettable dining experience!
We had a wonderful dinner at Antica North Sydney and were genuinely impressed from start to finish. The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere, elegant, warm and refined without feeling pretentious. The service was attentive and professional throughout the evening. The signature menu was excellent. The house-made fagottini di gamberi was a standout, with delicate pasta, rich seafood flavours and beautiful presentation. The scotch fillet was cooked perfectly, and the wine recommendations, including a beautiful Planeta Etna, complemented the meal perfectly. We have celebrated a few important family occasions at Antica and it continues to impress every time. It is a fantastic addition to North Sydney’s dining scene and absolutely worth visiting for a date night, family celebration, or a relaxed but elevated Italian meal. Highly recommended.
It was my first visit to Antica, for a Saturday lunch, and it was wonderful. The restaurant sits within a two storey house with its interior lovingly restored in an art deco style. The two of us were luckily arranged at at window facing table, with a view out to the leafy street. We ordered the two course pranzo espresso, and in short, everything was perfect. Each dish was beautifully presented, thoughtfully prepared, elements not overly complicated, ingredients tasted fresh, and on the palette it feels just right. Nothing less, and no need for more. The gnudi ricotta for example, lovely gooeyness with a delicate crust, the lightly fried sage adding a touch of the aromatic oils, and mixed in with the pomodoro sugo, the acidity paints yet another layer. I wish to thank again each of the staff members who greeted and served us. Friendly, welcoming, professional, helpful, unintrusive, your fantastic service created a very memorable experience. A final note, the drinks list is impressive, and the bar area is equally beautiful. Be sure to check it out.
We recently went to Antica to celebrate my fiancés birthday and we were blown away! All staff are welcoming, friendly and very attentive, the location is beautiful and the food to die for! It was the honestly the best food and service I’ve had in years! Everything was perfect! They made sure to make it a very special night. Thank you so much, we will absolutely be back!
