We were back in Italy - for a couple of hours the other night we were transported back to a Trattoria in Rome with great food, lovely staff and fabulous atmosphere. It was a Tuesday but the place was buzzing with customers, families, couples, regulars and walk-ins. All were welcomed with a friendly face. The food was excellent, particularly the cured meats from the Affettati misti which we shared as a starter. We then had the Fish Special and the Steak - both were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. With our meal we had a beer and three glasses of red wine. We need to go back to have some pasta before we can judge properly (it's an Italian after all) but as a first visit we loved the place. Our waiter Jessica (from France) was just lovely and so friendly taking time to chat and make our visit very special.

Big Mama’s is a main stay for my husband and I. We always go there each time we feel like having Italian. Mainly because its very authentically Italian. I love the Vitello Tonatto as its authentic. The real thing. The Prosciutto San Daniele is to die for. Delicious. The Calamari and Gnocchi too. Every cent you spend here is well worth it. And of course we can not forget the excellent Manager Dican ( pronounced Dujan) is so awesome and fantastic. Great personality and really knows everyone that come in. We love her.

Had a fantastic meal here recently ordered the pumpkin ravioli, garlic bread, salad and tiramisu. Everything tasted stunning. The manager was incredibly gracious and helpful as were the staff. 5 stars for this place. Thank you for a lovely evening

A wonderful dining experience from start to finish. The food is consistently excellent, and what keeps me coming back is the warm, welcoming atmosphere created by the team. With regard to the food…. my particular favourites are the fettuccine funghi e tartufo or the minestrone, both of which are outstanding. For a main course, the salmon served with spinach is always perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The service is equally impressive. Dee greets guests as though they are members of the family, creating an immediate sense of warmth and belonging. Andrew and Carlo also make a huge fuss of everybody, ensuring every guest feels genuinely valued and looked after. It's the combination of exceptional food, attentive service, and a truly welcoming environment that makes this restaurant such a special place. Highly recommended.

Nice little spot but with a name like big mama’s, I was severely underwhelmed. The staff are not well trained, the pasta and meatballs taste like they’ve just been handed to you in a supermarket aisle, and the friendly facade VANISHES as soon as you select no tip on the bill. Cannot recommend to anyone looking for nice Italian.
