We had a beautiful dining experience at Cipri, from the warm welcome of the lovely owner Joe, to the ambience and delicious food. Stand out dishes were the tuna crudo, calamari , duck ragout and veal saltimbocca. This is a fabulous restaurant and highly recommended.
had valentine's menu 🌹 family restaurant popular with locals ⭐ enjoyed the prawn tartlets 🦐 and beetroot mozzarella ravioli 🧀 fig Stracciatella prosciutto 🐷 dish was too sweet, too much fig to prosciutto ratio 🤔 sesame seeds cannoli 🍦 reminiscent of a Chinese new year dessert 😋
We very much enjoyed a low-key meal here on a Wednesday night. Clientele appeared to be mainly eastern suburbs establishment types, most of whom were obviously regulars. Service was fab, and we had a nice chat with owner/manager about the wine we had brought. Cipri does have an amazing wine list, but you can BYO with $35 corkage. Nice find.
The Good: Our work Christmas dinner was held here, and from the moment we arrived, we were seated perfectly for a group of seven in a bustling, vibrant restaurant. The atmosphere truly captured the meaning of La Cenetta—a warm, informal meal shared between friends. Every dish we shared was made with love and care, and the desserts… oh, the desserts. The sesame seed cannoli was an absolute standout. The Room for Improvement: Honestly, not much to fault. Since they’ve updated their menu, I can’t rave about every specific dish we had, but it just gives me an excuse to return and discover what’s new. Maybe next time I’ll write down the names instead of just rolling into a food coma. Would I Return? Absolutely. I’d come back in a heartbeat to experience more of what Cipri has to offer. Whether it's a special event or a casual dinner, it’s a spot worth revisiting—especially for that cheese and fruit platter finale. The Verdict: In conclusion, Cipri Italian delivers a memorable dining experience with authentic Italian hospitality. If you’re after beautifully crafted food in a welcoming setting, it’s worth a visit. Just make sure you save room for dessert… trust me on that one.
Absolutely love this place! It never disappoints. From the moment you arrive, the way you are welcomed, the polished service and presentation, the amazing food (and specials) and beautiful staff, this place just keeps you coming back time after time.
