Made a reservation so we could eat before our show on a Thursday we also wanted to get drinks during happy house. Staff here were friendly enough. If you plan on going during happy hour and only have 30 min left of it, you might want to consider ordering more than one cocktail. My friend got in a bit late and only managed to get one, as the staff were too busy to take her order before the happy hour ended. Ordered the set menu for 2 courses, it was very delicious x Thank you for having us :)
The restaurant is downstairs of The Star. We went there for an early dinner on Thursday night. It was quite busy. The service was excellent, and attentive. We order the early dinner set menu as well as the seafood pizza. The food came out very quickly and the serving was good. Fusilli al Pesto di Zucchine pasta was tasty, but Frutti di Mare seafood pizza unfortunately was a bit plain. The pricing was on the expensive side.
Cucina Porto was outstanding from start to finish. The squid ink tagliolini was perfectly cooked with incredible depth of flavour, honestly felt like something straight out of Italy. The rum baba was absolutely to die for and easily one of the highlights of the night. Service was some of the best I’ve experienced too; warm, attentive and made the whole dinner feel special without being too formal.
We came before a show at the Lyric. Booked online, but it wasn't busy so probably didn't need to. Food was great. We had the $40 special (2 courses). The specials were delicious. The cauliflower and the calamari were my favourite. The seafood pasta was good too. Everything cooked to perfection the tiramisu was excellent and a massive portion. Service was quick. We were able to have our meal a leisurely pace before the show.
the food was delicious, service was amazing with our waiter coming to check on us often and our food came out hot and very quickly after we ordered. this is an amazing restaurant. kid friendly as well.
