Da Orazio Trattoria is the perfect spot for a date night—warm, welcoming, and with a great atmosphere. Every dish was exceptional, but the standouts were the tortelli, the flame-grilled king prawns and the bistecca steak, which were all absolutely outstanding. You can really tell the focus is on quality ingredients and letting the flavours shine. The service was first class—friendly, attentive and professional without ever feeling intrusive. It really made the whole experience even more enjoyable. A local gem for sure and one that's definitely going into our regular rotation for tasty meals. Looking forward to coming back again soon.

Delicious food and a wonderful experience! The octopus pie is my absolute favourite and an absolute must-try. The service was fantastic, with friendly staff who made us feel so welcome. From the food to the atmosphere, everything felt authentically Italian and transported us to Italy for lunch. Molto bene! Highly recommended and definitely worth a visit. ✨️

We had an amazing dining experience at Da Orazio Trattoria in Rushcutters Bay during our trip to Sydney. The food was unique and delicious, and while we’ve enjoyed fine Italian cuisine in many foodie cities around the world, I’d say Da Orazio Trattoria is among the best we’ve ever had. The food is a delightful blend of old-world Italian recipes with an Australian twist, highlighting the local ingredients. The knowledgeable and friendly staff really made the experience even more memorable. They provided great descriptions of the food and wine pairings that piqued our appetite, and their recommendations were superb. The wine suggestions were wonderful. The Armatore Cetara anchovies salsa erbe, Grilled Tomino Sicilian Caponatina, Spicy baby peppers, tuna mousse starters (the menu organizes them into Cured, Aged, and Preserved, respectively) are to die for! The Tiella Gaetana - Octopus Pie, Gaeta olives, cherry tomatoes, and capers is an Antipasti standout that should not be missed. It expertly blends delightfully tender Italian Octopus in a classic Australian meat pie. Another standout is the Tubetti ai frutti di mare - Altamura pasta, fresh seafood, cherry tomatoes, crustacean brodetto. Our party had an assortment of desserts that are even better tasting than their mouthwatering presentation. I highly recommend Da Orazio Trattoria for superb Italian food in a great atmosphere with friendly 5-star service!

Some places serve food, this place shares love. Every dish felt like a sensational journey, full of heart, tradition, and genuine passion. You can taste Italy in every bite.
