It’s easy to see why this place is so popular. The Spaghetti Marinara was packed with fresh seafood, and my husband absolutely loved it. The seafood tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly, while the marinara sauce was rich and full of flavor. My personal favorite was the Le Palle di San Gennaro. The beef meatballs were incredibly juicy and tender, and the tomato sauce was so rich and comforting that I could have eaten it on its own. We also tried the Marinara STG Pizza, and it was amazing. Sometimes the simplest pizzas are the best. The combination of tomato, garlic, herbs, and olive oil was perfectly balanced, and the wood-fired crust was light, airy, and beautifully chewy. The only downside was that the pizzas took quite a while to come out. There were lots of takeaway orders, so I guess they were prioritizing those first. We weren’t in a rush, so it wasn’t a big issue for us, but if you’re planning to visit, I’d recommend coming a little earlier before the dinner rush because it gets very busy. Overall, we had a great experience. The food was authentic, delicious, and definitely worth the wait. We’ll definitely be back to try more of their pizzas.
This is by far the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to in Sydney. We ordered the normal and garlic Bruschetta and no words can describe how tasty the bread is! The combination of greatly-baked bread with tomatoes, basil and olive oil is amazing! We then ordered Buffalo Margherita Pizza with added olives on top and I can say it’s one of the Pizzas in Sydney for people who like the authentic Italian pizza made with real tomatoes! Last but least, The PASTA! This Pasta is the best they have. Rich in flavour, Soaked in sauce and UNBEATABLE especially the Fettuccine with cooking cream! SHOUTOUT to Alessio and Tomasso for their great customer service and hospitality where they made us feel like we’re home!
Tried Fratelli Pulcinella in Parramatta for takeaway tonight and honestly it was one of the better pizza experiences I’ve had in a long time. We ordered two pizzas — the Diavola and the Suprema — and both were absolutely packed with flavour. You can tell straight away that they use quality ingredients and actually care about what they’re serving. The Diavola had the perfect balance of spice without overpowering the pizza itself. The salami had a really nice kick to it and the base was cooked beautifully — crispy around the edges while still soft and airy in the middle. The Suprema was just as impressive, loaded with toppings but not greasy or heavy like a lot of takeaway pizzas can be. Everything tasted fresh and authentic, and the flavour combinations worked really well together. One thing that stood out just as much as the food was the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly, welcoming and polite from the moment we walked in. Even though they were busy, they still took the time to be attentive and made the whole experience feel genuine rather than rushed. Good customer service honestly makes such a difference and they nailed it. The pizzas were also ready on time, packaged properly and still hot by the time we got home. It’s clear why this place has such a strong reputation around Parramatta. You don’t often find takeaway pizza that still feels authentic and restaurant quality, but Fratelli Pulcinella definitely delivers that. Will 100% be coming back to try more from the menu. Highly recommend this place if you’re after proper Italian-style pizza with great service to match.
After hearing great things about the pizzas here (winner of 2025 Caputo World Pizza Championship), I decided to come here for my birthday. We began with a bucket of Latin American craft beers that really helped us kill time while we waited for the food. The barrata salad arrived first and it was quite refreshing. The Frittatina Napoletana came next, the crunchy spaghetti ball went well with the bold-flavoured gorgonzola sauce. The calamari was good but the portion was small for the large plate used. The mains came next, starting with the delicious chicken pasta. This was followed by the pizzas, and while we did not try to award-winning (mortadella burrata) pizza, we really enjoyed the Udaipur spicy chicken and the Contadina pizzas. We ended the meal with the Vongole e vino that was finger-licking good. Overall, the food was excellent and the pizzas had nice doughs and great flavour combinations. Service was slow though, from drinks to food, but everything got there in the end. Atmosphere-wise, it was what I would imagine a neighbourhood family restaurant to look like, nothing flashy, with an upper floor and a courtyard that was closed when we were there.
Pros: Atmosphere is so good. Staffs are cordial, smiling with good gesture, and are agile. Place is nestled along the Light rail. Best to sit inside the garden or outside overlooking the train & passengers. Pizza was good. Traditional Italian style. Best to go with a glass of wine 🍷. Cons: Nothing
