It was refreshing to find this authentic Italian restaurant. The canteen type appearance was a bit deceiving because the food was so good! The food felt light but full of flavour. We had the King Prawn pasta, Boscaiola al Tartufo, garlic bread and tiramisu. We’ll be back to try the other pastas.
Very happy to have discovered this gem of an Italian in Pott's Point this evening. We were looking for an Italian restaurant to informally celebrate our son's 16th Birthday (he loves pasta). Upon arrival, what impresses first is the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. Despite a table being reserved for us, we elected to relocation to an outside table to enjoy the balmy evening. After ordering from inside, the meals arrived after a very short wait which was appreciated! When inside ordering, I could see the delicious fresh ingredients for the sauces being built up in the pans in the open kitchen - which was great to see. My wife, son and I all really enjoyed our seafood pastas (Spagetti Marinara, and Tagliatelle Marina and Tagliatelle King Prawns) and will definitely return for more. Keep up the wonderful combination of 'simple' yet delicious Italian dishes, with that wonderful service! It really sets you apart!
If you are craving authentic, comforting, and flawlessly executed Italian comfort food in Sydney, Friggitoria is a true hidden gem. We stopped by recently for a family meal, and from the very first bite to the final spoonful of dessert, the entire experience was absolutely outstanding. 1. Mind-Blowing Pasta: Rich, Creamy, and Perfectly Al Dente The star of our meal was undoubtedly the pasta. We ordered a creamy pasta dish, and it was pure perfection. The sauce was incredibly rich, velvety, and packed with deep, authentic flavor without feeling overly heavy. Every strand of pasta was cooked to a perfect al dente—giving it that beautiful, satisfying chew. You can immediately tell they respect traditional Italian techniques. It is comfort food at its absolute finest, and easily one of the best pasta dishes we’ve had in a long time. 2. A Heavenly Tiramisu to Finish For dessert, you cannot leave without trying their Tiramisu. It was spectacular. The balance of espresso-soaked ladyfingers and the light, whipped mascarpone cream was flawless. It was wonderfully moist, perfectly sweet, and had just the right amount of coffee bitterness to round it off. It was the perfect sweet ending to an already fantastic meal. 3. Exceptional, Kid-Friendly Customer Service What truly made our dining experience special, however, was the hospitality. The staff members were incredibly welcoming, warm, and attentive from the moment we walked in. More importantly, they were exceptionally sweet and friendly to our child. Dining out with young kids can sometimes feel stressful, but the team here made us feel completely relaxed and welcome. Their genuine smiles and kind interactions with our little one made our family dinner extra memorable. Summary: Friggitoria delivers top-tier Italian flavors in a warm, inviting environment. Between the rich, crave-worthy pasta, the heavenly tiramisu, and the wonderful kid-friendly service, it has easily earned a spot as one of our favorite local spots. A well-deserved 5 stars—we will definitely be returning for another fantastic meal soon!
A fantastic spot with beautifully presented, seriously delicious food. We tried the lasagne fritta, pizza fritta, arrabbiata tagliatelle, and garlic bread - every dish was outstanding. The flavors were spot on and clearly made with care. Friendly, welcoming service and impressively fast food delivery made the experience even better. Highly recommend!
Loved this place. Friggitoria does really good Italian street food that feels simple but done right. Everything was fresh and full of flavour, and the fried dishes were light and crispy, not oily at all. Portions are solid and perfect for sharing. The vibe is relaxed and busy in a good way, and the staff were friendly and quick. Great value for the quality. Definitely coming back when I’m craving Italian comfort food.
