Gargano is the best addition to the food scene in the area! Paolo and his family have created a wonderful little restaurant where you can taste the passion and dedication behind each dish on the menu. I came here for lunch the first time and ordered one of their popular focaccias - eggplant parmigiana. Great choice. Fresh basil, delicious tomato sauce and a crispy airy focaccia. We also tasted their pistacchio bombolone which was a beautiful airy donut filled with rich decadent pistacchio cream. I must admit my favourite though was coming here for dinner a few nights later. The restaurant had a lovely intimate atmosphere with candle lights and the best smell of freshly baked pizza! For starters we ordered the crocchette di zio - perfectly crunchy on the outside filled with potato and mozarella. For mains we had the porchetta and acciughe pizze. Both absolutely amazing. The high hydration dough makes it taste so light and airy. The ingredients stand out as well - you can taste the delicious olive oil, stracciatella, soft pork, rosemary,.. I could go on.. I am so glad we finished our dinner with the best pistacchio cannolo! I am still thinking of that ricotta cream, soo yumm! Highly highly recommend!
Heavenly. This is THE PLACE TO GO for focaccia’s and pizza in Sydney. 🍕❤️🤤 Relaxed atmosphere, excellent service and the food is amazing. Wasn’t quite sure if I was dreaming the first time I had the porchetta focaccia… So I came back with friends. It wasn’t a dream! We tried the ham provolone and the salsicca pizza…. And Fabulous! Also enjoyed the coffee - excellent. Thank you very much Paulo for sharing your passion for excellence with us.
🧀 One of my faves was the Crochetta di Zio! It was soft and pillowy! And I love how the saltiness of the Mozzarella and Parmesan cheese cuts through 🤤 🥪 The Prosciutto Sandwich is an absolute must try!! It was super fresh and the flavours marry so well together. The truffle mayo tied it altogether for me🤤🎀 🍅 The Casereccia which is their signature dish, might look tomato-heavy, but it’s actually so well balanced and full of flavour. Defs wouldn’t skip over this one and be too quick to judge! 🙌 🍩 And the Bombolone was so delish! It was soft, fluffy, sweet. But wasn’t too sweet so you can actually enjoy every bite without it being too much 🫶 ☕️ They also have this deal where you can get a Bombolone and a coffee for $9 which is so good in this economy 😭😭
We just bought two focaccia sandwiches (Ham&cheese and Chicken parmigiana). And they taste ABSOLUTELY HEAVENLY. So fresh, crispy bread, freshest ingredients. The sauce is Brilliant too. Staff was exceptionally friendly. Very nice cosy interior design. Will definitely be coming back since we live right next to you 🙏🤗
Came here for dinner with a group of friends, from the second we walked in the door the staff was lovely! The Resturant itself is so cozy and beautifully decorated. Our waitress took amazing care of us, she had great recommendations and all of the food came out in perfect courses as we were sharing everything! The pizza was the best I’ve had in Sydney! The dough/crust is the best!!!!!!! Truly a 10/10 experience, can’t wait to come back!!
