What a fabulous restaurant! The service is excellent, the wine list is outstanding, and the food is exceptional. The décor is also beautiful and inviting. It's the perfect place to share dishes with friends, colleagues or loved ones and enjoy a long lunch.
I have never experienced such outright hostility from a restaurant manager or senior staff member as I did at Glorietta North Sydney. We had a booking for 9 people and arrived with 2 extra guests, politely asking if they could help us find a solution. Instead of trying to accommodate us or handling the situation professionally, a male staff member with glasses and a ponytail (who appeared to be a manager) completely told us off. He aggressively pushed a mandatory set menu on us at $75 to $85 a head for the entire group. When we flatly refused this unreasonable demand, he immediately threatened us with a $50-per-head cancellation fee if we walked away. Under total duress, we were forced to reduce our group back down to 9 just to avoid their predatory fees. To make matters worse, this individual's toxic attitude wasn't just directed at us. We witnessed him actively looking down on and Berating his own staff. Because his aggressive handling of our seating arrangement wasted so much of our time, the Aperitivo hour was coming to an end. When the regular waitstaff tried to help us by putting through an order right at 6:00 PM to catch the end of the promotion, he publically told them off right in front of us. It is deeply uncomfortable to dine at a venue where management treats paying customers like an inconvenience and visibly bullies their own team. The hospitality here is completely non-existent. Avoid this place if you value good service and a welcoming atmosphere.
$32 for a marinara pizza—yet it was small, thin crust, and lacked flavour. A touch of salt could have improved it. $5 for refillable sparkling water also felt overpriced. Customers are willing to pay premium prices, but they expect premium quality in return. Not returning.
Service was seriously awesome, super friendly and helpful staff. The place feels really comfy and chill. Food was sooo good, my nephew loved the kids Margherita! Oysters were super fresh, and all the cocktails we had were amazing. Definitely coming back!
Visited on a Thursday night with a group of 3 after hearing raving reviews for its pizza and pasta. We went in with no reservation and were seated outside on a high table. The service was slow (especially sitting outside) and it took 15 mins to get the attention of staff to take our order. We went with the verdure and prosciutto pizza, vodka rigatoni pasta and fries. The pizzas were 10/10 and would definitely return however the pasta was a let down which lacked flavour. Fries were super tasty!
