Cute local Italian restaurant in the Hills. A great experience for my partner and I, we ordered bruschetta, large pizza and pasta, which was delicious and very filling. Also cost effective too. We also didn’t feel rushed to leave even though by the time we left, it was 30min after closing time. Lovely chef (and I assume owner), definitely a restaurant I’ll return to for comfort food.
Very disappointed with the carbonara we ordered for pickup/takeaway. Had no flavour at all (not even salt), was super watery and slippery. Pic taken is from being halfway done when I realised I would need to order something else because I was still so hungry. Ate it because I was really really hungry and not because I wanted to eat it at all. How can a carbonara look like this from an Italian restaurant. My husband got a pizza from here and it wasn’t good either (all toppings fell off the base as soon as it was picked up, slices weren’t cut properly, very hard dry base, more olives than prawns and just a weird flavour combo) and he was also still hungry. ):
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY A HIDDEN GEM!!!! The pasta were freshly made, and the pizza were also handmade with amazing toppings and sauce! On top of it, they still use the wooden oven for it - with incredible decent portion and price! I hope more people could visit this amazing place despite its location (They have parking so not an issue at all!)
Il Nido (The Nest) is truly something special. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt intimate, elegant, and welcoming—like a hidden gem you want to keep to yourself but also can’t stop raving about. The food was outstanding from start to finish. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor, clearly made with care and high-quality ingredients. It’s the kind of meal where you slow down and savor every bite. A huge part of what made the night unforgettable was our waiter, Dante. His service was exceptional—attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely warm and engaging. He gave fantastic recommendations and made us feel completely taken care of throughout the evening. You can tell he truly loves what he does, and it elevates the entire dining experience. Il Nido is the perfect spot for a special night out, a celebration, or just an incredible meal. Between the food, the ambiance, and Dante’s top-tier service, this place absolutely deserves five stars. We’ll definitely be back!
We enjoyed this restaurant a lot! The quantity is generous (even the parmesan!) The cinnamon pumpkin and the crispy sweet potato are amazing. The carbonara pasta is a bit too salty for us but thick and creamy. The pink cream pasta doesn’t stand out much as carbonara but comes with a generous amount of prawns. The chocolate soufflé with salted caramel gelato is our fav. The staff is nice and attentive and the pricing is reasonable as well! Perfect for a casual hearty dinner!
