I really really wanted to love this place, we lack some nice Italian restaurants in the Hills that could rival the city. Stepping into the restaurant the ambience was really promising unfortunately the food was not great. The antipasti was underwhelming and my main was dominated by the taste of garlic (and I’m a garlic lover!), it looked really cool but the texture was not nice and the dish would have worked better as a spaghetti. My friend had the fish and also thought the combination was average. The highlight of the night was the bread at the beginning.

Walked into this Italian restaurant and it immediately felt classy — great atmosphere and attentive service. The cod was the highlight, tender and perfectly done. Steak was solid too, though the chicken schnitzel felt a bit ordinary. Pizza, pasta, and tiramisu all delivered. Overall, a great meal.

Pleasantly surprised - didn’t expect much and this place really delivered in a big way. Only ordered a few dishes but everything was delicious and felt like there was plenty more to try on a return visit. Pizza was particularly good - thin and crispy and light. Will definitely be back.

Our local, which we want to love. Table for 2, initially pointed to the middle of the room (4 seater) and opted for a side table (2). Menus dropped, no questions, no request for drinks - nothing. 10min later, the bartender came to ask for drinks - we ordered drinks & food with him (nothing written - tick) 2 glasses of wine, poured at the table - tick. Entree took about 15min - steak tartare to share. Came with 3x slivers of deep fried bread. This was barely enough to cover half the dish. Requested 3 more pieces given 3 was not enough- charged $3 for 3x slivers. More wine … new bottle for the red > no request to taste, they were just going to pour. Experience says… taste, no issue & poured a generous pour. Food came 15-20min later. Nice timing, not rushed. Risotto good, but small serve. Linguine - very good … don’t take this for greatness. Food was good, not wow with City pricing. The place was full, noisy due to corporate dinner - no issue. Staff were both young & experienced which shows. Atmosphere lacked & service let them down on this occasion. The menu choice was a struggle, hard to find anything exciting from the menu. We go out for interesting food - not here. In & out in 75min. We have friends who dine here monthly - not for us. We have very low expectations when dining locally, the food menu lacked, as did the service.

The food here was just wonderful. Unfortunately we chose a busy night where the staff were doing their best to manage a full suite of tables, but the food came out promptly and there was no greater joy than eating their beautiful bread. They have a wonderful woodfire oven which is visible from the dining room and makes for a lovely centrepiece to their delicious food. We will definitely be back!
