Obsessed. This little place is gorgeous. The wait staff are incredible lovely. Food was wonderful, perfectly balanced. The portions were quite big for me on my own so this is a great place to share. The hidden gem is definitely the garden bar area at the back. I imagine this is a lovely place to have a pre dinner drink. Looking forward to next time.
Great Italian restaurant! We had the seafood pasta and the carbonara and both were delicious. The focaccia was amazing as well. Everything tasted fresh and authentic. Definitely coming back.
The Osteria Riva is a traditional homemade Italian restaurant. Very suitable for date nights, family dinner and friends meeting. The staff are friendly and welcoming sharing their preferences and knowledge about the Italian cuisine. Must orders include the homemade Focaccia, Tagliatelle and Grass Fed Sirloin on the Bone. The atmosphere is very nice with elegant wall mounted wine bottles and crates full of speciality. With indoor and outdoor seating perfect, pet friendly and family friendly. Must try for people looking for an Italian restaurant that brings the concept of traditional house made food to the fullest.
I have been to Osteria in Bondi Junction a few times now and I do enjoy it. The staff are always very friendly, and there is one particularly charismatic gentleman who is consistently warm, welcoming and clearly does his best to make sure the evening runs smoothly. The atmosphere is pleasant and it is a nice spot for a meal. My only criticism would be around the ingredient quality and dietary options. I think there is room to improve the sourcing, especially by offering more organic or higher quality ingredients. Also, on both occasions I visited, there was no gluten free spaghetti available, which felt a little limited for an Italian restaurant. Overall, it is a friendly and enjoyable place with good service, but I think the food offering could be elevated with better ingredient sourcing and more consistent gluten free options.
I really wanted to love this place but sadly I didn’t. The service was fantastic. The location is cute but can get really noisy. They have a focaccia is bread is delicious. We were, however, disappointed with the pastas. They didn’t taste authentic for a carbonara and was far too cheesy and the ragu was OK but a bit on the acidic tomato side.
