We dined at Pino Al Mare again recently, and the standard was exceptionally high, just as it always is. We started with the housemade focaccia with Parma prosciutto, figs, ricotta, and vincotto—a gorgeous balance of sweet and savory. For mains, the pasta was beautiful and perfectly al dente. The maccheroncini with spicy vodka and handpicked spanner crab had an amazing sauce, but the real standout was the calamarata with 12-hour slow-cooked octopus ragù. A proper seafood ragù like this is quite rare to find because it takes serious skill to get right, and the Chef executed it flawlessly. We rounded out the meal with a steak alongside a rocket, pear, and grana padano salad. To top off the incredible food, the service was amazingly good. The team’s wine pairing recommendations were spot on and matched every dish beautifully. We cannot recommend them highly enough!
We hosted our baby shower at Pinos and it was absolutely incredible! Matteo and Nerina were so warm and attentive from the start, and the staging on the day was absolutely STUNNING! The food, cocktails, and service were all EXCEPTIONAL - our guests are still raving! Everything was seamless, allowing us to truly enjoy the day. Highly recommend for any special occasion 🤍

Hands down my favourite pasta in Sydney! I’ve dined here at least 5 times, and I don’t live in the area. All the dishes are on par, if not better, than what I’ve had in Italy. Just had my birthday lunch event here recently and all my guests loved the venue, the food, everything. Matteo, Chef Cristian and team are all incredible people. I’ll be back again and again!

The food was outstanding. Every dish was full of flavour and clearly made with care and quality ingredients. The pasta was perfectly cooked, rich and comforting, while the mains were beautifully balanced and generous. You can really feel the passion behind the menu and the respect for Italian tradition with a modern touch. Service was another highlight. The team was attentive, friendly and professional without ever feeling intrusive. The timing between courses was spot on, allowing us to enjoy each moment at the table. The venue itself is stunning and intimate, making it perfect for both special occasions and relaxed dinners with friends or family. It feels like a true local gem with soul.
