I am Italian 100%. This is 0% Italian. Its misleading, the lunch is empty for a resason while all the other spots are full. The smell is aweful as well. Do not go. Pleanty good Italian places to go to, Pompei, or Il ritrovo etc, real Italian. The response was also very rude, low and undeniable untrustworthy of any profesionalism, rather bullism, thats not representative of high level Italian hospitality nor quality. Not everything is genuine and be aware of scams if you see italian or made in italy in products as some misleaded, some even in Italy, given to turist aweful things, thankfully high minority and Italian high level of standards all round are certain and inevitable, iherent, its not just a lenguadge, its a positive joyfull pure clean energy, welcoming and clear. Also the Princess reference is a complient, and shall have been Real Queen reference as I am, I have high standards and aspectations and that a high great quality to have; Pompei, where I regularly have womderful meals for years, got selected from Gambero rosso this year, not this resturant, not even far. Thats real and tangible also evaluated by Italian price recognition Gamber Rosso, best 70 Italian Resturant. In au there are Accc laws, where mislead by biz owener is something taken very seriously as well as other issues. Clearly My honest review made come up all the impurity disgracefull behaviours that lead this biz.
We are locals but hadn't gotten around to trying QSI yet. I had mentioned I wanted to, so my partner booked it for my birthday dinner last Saturday night. It was busy and filled with families and locals, which I loved. The Atmosphere was cozy and warm. Cameron was the consummate host, and we asked what he recommended and then ordered as suggested: zucchini flowers (nice and firm stalks, cheesy flowers); diavola pizza (great crust!), white veal ragu & pappardelle (the standout of the night, man was it good!) and cheesecake for dessert. It was exactly as I would hope for, tasty and homey and warm and cozy. Service was so friendly and even with the rain / extra people to seat from outside bookings, Cameron wasn't flustered. We'll be back for sure!
Honestly 11/10, food wise. Also amazing service! All of the Servers & owner/manager. Will definitely be back to try other dishes but the white veal ragu was dreamy + pasta was noticeably al dente! Only thing I’ll say is that there should have a sign out on public holidays stating it’s **20% surcharge. Or let guests know before they sit down. Sydney people know you’ll pay an extra 10-15% on holidays.. but 20% is steep and wasn’t a nice surprise. I still tip bc I know that surcharge doesn’t go to the servers, it goes to the business to go towards paying higher wages. I hope other people know this!
I like the food and have been regularly however I took my family tonight and was slugged with a "20% sunday surcharge " yet there was no reference to it on the menu or the website. Even the bill only refers to a 15% surcharge on public holidays! EDIT - you have completely missed the point, increase your prices or be transparent about surcharges...
AMAZING FOOD AND SERVICE. We came here tonight and had the most incredible meal. We had pizza, pasta, salad and tiramisu and all of it was absolutely delicious. The service was impeccable - all the staff, including the owner, Antonio, are incredibly accomodating and kind. Highly highly recommend!!!
