As always honest. We sat outside and that was fine they had heaters on. The food my son ordered the spaghetti Bolognese he said it was fine nothing fancy no rich saucy flavours. My friend ordered the Pallizi malfdine she thought it was good mmm now me I ordered for $32 the veal funghi do not order it was an absolute waste of money I received I nice looking plate I saw sauce and mushrooms vegies which was a few pieces of broccolini a few slice of Capsicum and a few green beans. Underneath was three very and I mean very thin slithers of cooked veal that were approximately 5cm x5cm each. I basically was served creamy sauce on a plate with some mushroom slices. The veal wasn't even nice. It's needs a mash to soak up all that sauce because there is definitely not enough meat to do that. Do not waste your money. The dessert the tiramisu was nice portion size but nothing special and the cream brulee was cold custard with nice crisp top it was fine. The coffee was actually a hit a great coffee. The service if you want to be bombarded to order every a few minutes this is the place to go. It wasnt even busy. My suggestion is the wait staff should scan and observe not constantly bombard are you ready. Now where I got super annoyed. At the end I went to pay for the 3 of us $180 and was asked how was my meal I said it was fine except the slithers of veal were a huge disappointment the male then attempted to rudely disagree. I actually had to tell him to stop I am not going to argue facts I took pics. He stated i will let the kitchen staff know. Let me just say it's common sense how does a chef serve up three itty bitty slithers of somewhat chewy veal lathered in so much sauce a few pieces of mushroom slices and a couple of green vegies and say mmm yep that customer will praise me. Nope and more nope. This place could be a really cool restaurant unfortunately it really isn't. I should have read more reviews. Lesson learned would I go back nope. Would I recommend it nope. Change your chefs or the attitude you put demands on your chef to actually serve portions that people pay for.
Read reviews about how amazing the flat breads are comparing to other insta famous stores, and it did not disappoint at all and even better. We also ordered the chef special pasta which is on the cream heavy side but still pack with lots of flavours. Sizing is super generous for two people.
Our first visit at Showground Eatery for Saturday lunch. Our party of five commented on how polite, friendly and helpful the front service team was. Didn’t have to wait long for our meals, which were well-presented and delicious. Coffees were great too. We’ve decided that the next celebration catchup will be at The Showground Eatery again, to try out their other menu offerings. A hidden gem in the Hills!
It is a perfect spot to enjoy a meal with friends and family, the location near the Metro station is an absolute gem! The food is not just delicious; it's a delightful experience for your taste buds. Plus, the outdoor area is truly exceptional, making it a fantastic place to unwind and soak up the atmosphere.
Grabbed some takeaway dinner here today and ordered two pizzas – a marinara and a diavola. I was very impressed with the quality, price, and service, all top notch. I’ve been to about 7 pizza places in the Hills area over the past year and this is definitely number 1 or 2 on the list for me. The pizzas looked amazing – proper woodfired style – and the taste was phenomenal with a nice smoky flavour. Generous toppings, great crust, and a rich tomato sauce that clearly uses quality ingredients. Service was fast, my order was ready in about 20 minutes, and the staff were friendly and efficient. Highly recommend checking this place out for great pizza.
